I used locally fabricated metal/steel doors for entrances and I regret it cos I got pictures from the pop guys showing me the damage on the front door... It is basically breaking from the top, they said that it doesn't close well except they bang the doors.. Will have to change it to foreign door after I am done with other important stuff before screeding and painting starts.

Advantages of hollow blocks slab.

- Its more economical.
Hollow blocks is more cheaper to execute than normal RC slab. It saves more than 40% of total cost of both labour and materials to be used in construction.

for example. If you need 200pcs y12mm bars for decking in normal slab, you will need 120-150pcs of y12mm bars for hollow blocks slab. Same as cement and gravels.

- Low self-weight
Because of the hollow blocks been used, it reduces the quantity of concrete to be used which increases the dead load (self weight) of the building.

- More stable.
Hollow blocks slabs uses mostly beams which intersects with one another strategically, making it more stable.

If you want to prevent off-gassing, you need to use low VOC wood glue when doing woodwork.

Here is an article from an architectural website that goes into detail about the problem.

It is important for service providers to also play the role of trusted advisors, when they do this, telling the client the pros and cons of certain buying decisions, a bond of trust is formed that allows the client to have no objection to paying more for the service provider and trusted advisor roles.

But the client doesn't get this from the service provider and has to do the kind of work that I have done to guarantee health and safety, such a service provider becomes disposable/dispensable.

Thank God for Shoprite, I am now using a low VOC wood glue known as Alcolin wood glue. I am saying thank God because our wood markets don't source for this type of glue, and the next best option would have been to import it from Amazon which would take time.

Once again this illustrates how important proper ventilation is for the home and the office.

Oh man, if it’s in Lagos before you leave that site in your present those crazy boys will make you paid them before you put it on the land you pay for. Please make sure your land is well documented, pay all government fees, try do fence even if it’s only 5 couches of blocks.

Oga kola, I'll like to see more pictures and details before I can commend appropriately. Things like;
1. How many floors you are trying to build
2. Bearing capacity of the soil. Amongst other things.

Generally, this combination is good for soils with a tendency for serious differential settlement.

But note, this combination is strip, pad footings, and ground beams. But it looks solid sha Oga.
