I understand the trauma that people who witnessed those shootings that evening went through.

I was 100% against blocking of roads during the protest. Your right to protest should not hinder the right of free movement of others.

However, the government crossed the line by killing innocent souls. Protests happen all over the world but there are better ways to disperse them.

Water cannons, rubber bullets, tear gas, etc.. We have Anti-Riot police that should be well funded and equipped for times like these.

October 20, 2020 was a shame and should never repeat itself.

I still don't understand why some people kept saying no one died at the Lekki toll gate incident, some unfortunate fellows were even asking for the pictures of the dead people!!! Like seriously?
Even the Governor of Lagos State confirmed the incident, I mean, the number one in the state and some keyboard warriors will just be spitting out rubbish just because of their political affliate.

One thing we should remember is that, the incident was not politically motivated but bore out FIRST because of the high handness of the Nigeria Police and what have you, while other issues follows....
Let us not allow our political affliate to blind us. We're all one. And I hope justice will play out at the end for the victims and their families.

Some of the youths attending this memorial walk through and even some that survived that night's shooting, are today, actively jumping up and down for the same APC responsible for this atrocious act. Everyday, even with all the evidence from that night, you hear people scream 'where is the bodies', my response to them is, e go reach una one day. Sanwo-Olu,Tinubu, Oluomo and urchins still denying, forget people were at Oriental, Shoprites, Lekki Phase 1, Mobil house, shanties around Tollgate, LCC staff (those with conscience), LAWMA that cleaned the blood, reporters from various stations, local and foreign.
