Ygc1: Why should rich people fix and do what the local government is supposed to do. ( What do they LG actually do to warrant their monthly pay cheques) Those business pay taxes and are harassed when they do not do so. This is what the Media are supposed to show constantly on TV. The fact is , we do not have a lack of knowledge to fix this problem but a lack of resolve to fix it as there is no glory , no money siphoned to individual pockets so it is not attractive. Those roads haven't been repaved since God knows when.. Just terrible. There is a loose joint which brings all traffic to stop on the highway - this has known for months. nothings done. |

rickleye: Dear if people wait for government to do everything they will continue to suffer In my community as a landlord we make yearly contributions to community development. We don’t wait for government. We have several accounts we make compulsory payment to yearly. Most landlords in my area aren’t rich yet they struggle to contribute yearly. We contribute for power , road construction, security among others. Recently our transformer blown off, the power account we already saved up 2.3 m over the years, the fund was use to fix the power issue. if we don’t have such fund we will be in darkness for years long waiting for government to come to our aid. Same thing goes to road. We fix our road ourselves. |

Why is it difficult for you and your family to live in Anambra where Peter Obi has built new Dubai when he was the governor |

Lagos flood is a flash flood, it comes and goes whenever there's heavy rain just like it happens even in developed countries. It will disappear without destroying the land because there is proper drainage for the most part. On the other hand The flood in Anambra is pluvia flood because the inhabitants are obo-jawura who know nothing about drainage and setbacks, they build their lego houses directly on where sewage systems should be and it's a matter of time before those houses start falling apart and get swallowed up by the giant puddle they call ground. |

Amb1045: Please be ready to join your hero Ojukwu in March after Sanwo-Olu wins the second term. By then you will know that Lagos is not in Biafra land. You will first go to your Anambra in your region and chase the criminals their out inluding your leaders. So you mean Peter Obi and his party PDP and his candidate lost Anambra just because you guys could not snatch ballot boxes? Now I know that you are a fool 1 Like |

Everywhere in Nigeria is flooded. Is Nigeria going under water, perhaps maybe in few years to come? The leaders need to start thinking proactively. Vote wisely in the next election! |

successmatters: It has nothing to do with any state, political party or a person. The whole world is facing existential threat of Global warming. You probably should notice that even the sun when it's out, it's extremely scorching and unbearable compared to some 20years back. Our own natural phenomenon is besetting us, threatening to wipe us all out, but all we do is attach political sentiments to it. In what way is this flood in Ikeja worse than that in Kogi, Anambra or Bayelsa that one-third of the state is under water? |
