Yes, Spring 2023.

STEM, Same field

I believe there’s a pathway for PhDs to get GC in the US. But if I had to choose, Australia is the better option for me. I would even pick a PhD in Germany over one in the US

Good Evening

please which country is better for masters program for an immigrant between

* United states of America

* Canada

* Australia

and reasons.

Thanks.

Better is relative. However, I would assume you mean "better" in term of scholarship opportunity, standard of living and job opportunity.

1. Scholarship opportunity: The US. There is even no competition. Even Australians and Canadians go over to the US because of their many scholarship opportunities.

2. Standard of living: Australia and Canada. You cannot regret going to either of the two. They are far far better than the US in this regard. Why? Simple.

In Australia and Canada, you can at least be about 80% sure that you'll live long if you're not attacked by a terrible disease or jammed by a vehicle. In the US, it is opposite. At every junction, death is staring at you. Even a co-buyer at a mall can shoot you dead. It's that terrible. Expect death at any point in time no matter how safe the environment can be. Those gentle faces strolling on the streets? Beware of them. They have guns in their bags.

3. Job opportunity: The US. No argument at ALL. There, you have any kind of job you are looking for, of course with a very huge pay.

So, yes, here is my simple answer. Choose your demon accordingly.

I contacted the Prof directly around August & he agreed to supervise my PhD.

What course are you studying?
Did the professor need your transcript before you got the admit?

I'm asking because I'd be graduating Bachelor's in August 2023 and I'm not sure if I can get my transcript 4 months after graduation (Nigerian schools and their issues) in preparation for Spring 2024.

Of course, the professor assessed my transcript before the admission. No professor will take you serious if you contact them without academic transcript. So, my advice for you is to finish your Bachelor's degree (with a strong CGPA) and get your transcript as soon as you graduate. At least a student copy of your transcript will be acceptable for admission. After admission you can send the original copy.

As I am typing right now, tens of Canadians and Australians are moving to that USA for greener pasture. Also, after been naturalized ( immigrants) in Canada, tons of them don't even think twice if opportunities arise in US.

Person wey go die go die even if e go Mars go live.
This is one of them below that moved to US from Canada.
We all have different motives of moving abroad. Don't let me forget to state that many Americans are moving in the other direction for reasons best known to them as well.

Good evening all.
My name is Blaise, am a graduate in Public Administration with CGP 3.0. I graduated in 2017, I'm 31 years old, gender: male, marriage status: Single.
Since then I have been pushing my career in Real Estate Agency as well as Electrical Materials Business.
Now I would love to PHD in business Administration in the United States.
Friends, I would love to get help from you guys to guide me properly in;
1: The school to go for. Bearing in mind that the one that has scholarships to offer would be preferable.
2: If there is a better cause you guys think I can go for.
3: General guidelines on the steps to take to make it a success.

Kind regards.

Good morning guys I have a small issue. While filling my Ds-160, I filled city of birth as Mushin (which is totally correct) but on my passport data page, Lagos was written as place of birth.

Will this cause any issue during interview?
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by Gokoyer1401: 9:13am On Oct 21, 2022
Hello guys,
A Graduate school in US gave me application fee waiver because I told them that I am not financially bouyant to apply.

Recently, the graduate school said they had transferred my file to the department for admission recommendations. Anyway, without funding, i am not going to accept any offer from them.

My first question:
At what point can i request for I-20 for F2 applicants? Should in case I get funding, are they going to request for bank statement of account before issuing i-20 for F2 applicants.

2nd question,
if i send them bank statement with my name on it, is it not going to look as if i am being dishonest with my financial situation. I applied to so many places last year without any funding btw. I just didn't want to waste my hard earned money this time.

Thanksg everyone for your time.

1. You can request for F2 I20 when requesting for yours.

2. No, it isn’t. Not if you stated that you could not pay the application fee at that point in time. If they ask, the money was already marked for a project/your tuition and you didn’t want to touch it. You should wait for admission decision before stressing yourself.
