Me for now I don't have any confirmed info on when is the next stage but all I know is that the next stage will be physical screening but I don't know when. And about that 70 slots, that was what NERC submitted to the National Assembly as their proposal for the recruitment exercise, so that is all i know

Please kindly stop speculating, saying untrue and patiently wait for the next steps. Government recruitment everywhere in the world will take 4-12 months depending on circumstances.

National Assembly for recruitment notifications and approval? So responsibilities of the National Assembly has added to notification and approval of recruitments not only responsibilities on national matters and passing of laws?

Meanwhile, for those speculating on untrue and irrelevant feedbacks, by the constitution of the law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, NERC is an independent of its recruitment. It is empowered by constitution to independently employed the competent manpower it needs to deliver on its mandates and remunerates with the income its self-generates. I repeat government recruitment takes 4-12 months from start to finish!

NERC is not included in National budget. By January to February next year by God's grace NERC would have more money to pay more of its workers. The number of NERC employees depend on its self generated revenue. By January to February next year, we are adding 700MW to the national grid to boost electricity supply. NERC self-generated revenue would drastically increase. NERC would employ more manpower and having the capacity to remunerating its employees.

Stop shutting people down when they post their opinions. Take what you can and leave the rest. What makes you think his information is not accurate? And yes, NERC must seek approval from the National Assembly before they recruit.

Or do you think chairman House committee on Electricity is not aware of the recruitment and they will just go ahead and recruit?

The federal character commission ,National Assembly and NERC executives are those who determine the approval ..they all sit to agree

National Assembly got the power to question the NERCommission on "funds allocated to the Commission by the National Assembly, pursuant to a request by the Commission for additional funds required to meet its reasonable expenditures;"
The said funds requested on the shared link was spent inappropriately by the viewed of the National Assembly and the used was questioned. It does not imply getting approval for recruitment. Do we really need this argument? Absolutely no! Does this argument impact this recruitment? Utterly no! However, for clarification purposes, anyone could share a direct reference or quote a statement where it was stated that NERC must get approval for its recruitment from National Assembly.

Kolabajo: Ministery, Department and Agency (MDA) many of the Ministeries, Departments are not independent of their recruitment, they would write to the Civil Service Commission simply known as (Federal Characters) requesting they are need of employees. Hence awaiting approval from Civil Service Commission. In a situation when Civil Service Commission does not approved yet, they don't carry out recruitment, they will have to wait until they get approval. Many of the Agencies are independent of their recruitments, what they do is after recruitments, they regularised to the civil service commission. The only approval by law of the land MDAs get for recruitment comes from Federal Civil Service Commission known as Federal Character. When MDAs writes formally to Civil Service Commission and gets approval, they embark on recruitment.

NERC recruitment is already four (4) months old. 15th June, 2022 to 15th October, 2022. I wrote that government recruitment globally Start to finish is 4-12 months. considering days vacancies must be advertised to the public, reviewing of applications, assessment/interview and every other underground bureaucracy to the time final decisions are made by decision makers. What I was advising is, it takes patience

NERC recruitment or any other federal agency, authority or commission

1. Recruitment including number of vacancies planned and envisaged and determined including proposed designations

2. Costing adminsitered to cover from advertisement to APL

3. Proposed recruitment and costing submitted to ministry of finance/RMAFC etc for input to the concerned agency's budget to be captured in the larger budget of the country even if supplementary. Then Federal character commission informed for concurrence

4. When (3) above is satisfied, the document is submitted to the National Assembly for appropriation as part of the items to consider to cover the proposed budget breakdowns

5. National Assembly may invite the agency or commission to defend the proposal including FCC concurrence. Then National Assembly approves, amends or rejects as necessary. The budget is then adjusted accordingly and approved.

6. Budget released to the agency or commission and they are now fully in charge. Advertisements to aptitude tests to interviews. Shortlist done

7. Shortlist sent to Federal character commission for vetting and approval

8. APLs issued by the agency or commission

Panel Interview with the top management is scheduled for November ending at the commission's office in Abuja. Invite would be rolled out some days before then.

Top five candidates acording to performance in the online test and quality of CV based on qualifications and experience for every role advertised are expected to be shortlisted.

Being among top scorers does not give one the guaranty of making it to the next stage. A lot of guys that had high scores have been dropped because they don't have cognate experience and skills for the expected roles. All fresh graduates were dropped also. This recruitment is strictly for experience hires.

Some roles have stiffer competition than others. Some managerial roles candidates like principal managers even performed poorly in the CBT but would be invited as they are vastly experienced.

Circa 400 candidates needed for the next stage to select about 70 candidates.

All the best to everyone!

Thanks for the information. Never will I go for any physical interview for any federal government job again even if I am shortlisted.

They should explore the option of virtual interview.

Thanks for the update Leks4sure. I’m sure you’re part of the Testmi admin. To be honest you people are dishonest, fraudulent and corrupt. All these screening of Quality of CV and years of experience for applied roles should have been done before shortlisting for exams. You know it’s strictly for experienced hires then why invite the fresh graduates?. Later you people will say our leaders are spoiling Nigeria

I really don't understand the stress in the first place. Initially, we were hearing that people who score highest will be picked for next round, yet decision has changed after people went through a lot to participate in the test. Why inviting experts to take CBT? just because those people performed poorly, they changed decision overnight. It's well. Nonetheless, kudos to you bro for the update.

@ lek4sure, thank you for the information.

Please I'd like to ask if there is possibility for such agency to recruit someone that wears long hijab.

Because it will be unreasonable to go from Lagos to Abuja and get disqualified due to mode of dressing. I want to know now, so I can take my mind off looking forward to their invite.

Kindly respond. Thanks

But I think it'll be unfair to ask people from far away to come to Abuja by road considering the security risk now. Hope they'll book flights for those they invite for the interview? I'm not joking angry
