Good day sirs and Mas, I'm new here. I was introduced here by a friend to get a solution. My story: I'm qualified for drop box, paid visa fees and started looking for dates on the CGI. After some personal fruitless efforts I got to meet an agent. I was quite specific about location and month because of the nature of my job. I'm in Lagos, the agent said he got Oct 31st in Abuja, which I got a farwarded appointment confirmation in my mail.(not directly from embassy) I will not be able to make this appointment. I explained to him but said there's nothing he could and that his boys would not release the profile until I pay him. Now, I cannot access my profile for 3 days. Tried forgot password many times but didn't get reset password mail. Pls what do I do, as there's no way I can make this appointment and they are holding on to my profile. |

Funiam:When you wan make a deal with the agent, you no tell us, now e happen, you come come here dey seek help. Well, let me tell you the truth. THERE IS NO ONE, NOT EVEN A CHIEF AGENT, THAT CAN HELP YOU GET A VISA INTERVIEW DATE for US visa application. Anyone you think can help is only trying to eat from you since they have realised you are desperate. What do they also do? They keep checking, hustling for date on the portal, just as the rest of the people. Also, I think there's something hidden if your appointment is not directly from the embassy. Start dashing agents your hard-earned money. 3 Likes |

Please I need help, I'm currently doing my masters program here in Nigeria which I started since 2020 but due to strikes I'm yet to write my 2nd semester exams. Now,I plan going for another masters in the United States . Do I need to mention the fact I started the masters program here?this is because even if I'm able to complete the program, the transcript and results won't be ready for admission. But I also want to mention the fact that I studied after my first degree. Also,is it advisable to have some of my lecturers from the master's program write recommendation letter for me? |

Hello people. A principal applicant (in US already) is covering the Cost of living of the F2- dependent (spouse and kid). The i-20 reads PERSONAL FUND, i.e. personal fund of the principal applicant. When filling DS-160 of the spouse and kid, what should be answered to the question who is sponsoring? Is the option SELF appropriate? |

Lasisieniola77: You would definitely need your passport for the exam. You should try schedule the exam before your passport expires or after your passport collection. Also try to fasten your passport collection. Luck Champ! 1 Like |

A friend of mine got PhD offer in the US. He has families and 2 kids. Since these kids will probably constitute nuisance and won't allow him to focus on his studies, can he forget about his family in Nigeria and tell his wife to find another husband? Going to the US is a big achievement and nothin should come in the way of that. Most times, it's better to forget about your parents in Nigeria and move anyways. That way you won't get bogged down with their issues while trying to figure your life abroad |

Please guys I look forward to your suggestions, my friend got approved on the 4th of this month in Abuja with document pickup location as Lagos. He is however yet to receive pickup instruction even after 10 working days. His status on the tracking link is also not updated, the status is same as it has been since the 4th. Any thoughts please |

Summary of a Google Meet Session Held on 22/10/22 1. Having a plan of your own. 2. Knowing what works for u. 3. Getting admitted to schools at rural areas to cut cost. 4. Applying to right programs. 5. Knowing your story in and out before the interview. 6. Being flexible and vocal in the abroad. 7. Masters program is enough for u except if you want to be a lecturer then u can think of PhD. 8. Get funding for yourself regardless of scholarships. 9. Nigerians in diaspora hardly help each other. 10. Getting a car is a necessity. 11. Try build a credit score before traveling and more Summary Credit: AYOOLA of B2G 5 Likes 2 Shares |

I think my eyes are hitching me. Someone should pls help me out. Naija don show us shege. It has finished. Btw, i give your friend(you) 10 years at max in that USA and come back to read your post. USA is not Naija where there will be epileptic power supply and lack of other basic amenities that may affect your studies. Having your kids around you is not a nuisance but to make one focus very well if the kids are yours and you love them. Ladipo35: 5 Likes |

@All Appointment booked between October 24th-28 has been cancelled, applicants received a message like this: Dear Applicant, The US Embassy in Abuja regrets to inform you that all appointments scheduled between Oct 24- Oct 28 have been canceled. Affected applicants were notified by email and SMS. The Embassy will reach out to affected applicants with further information. We apologize for the inconvenience. I think it has to do with this publication https://ng.usembassy.gov/security-notice-elevated-risk-of-terror-attacks/ |
