I guess I have to agree on spending limits. Spending limits enforces clarity of goals.

Absolutely on the embolden. Also, there has to be a conscious effort to strengthen our institutions to be independent in proper enforcement of the law.

Strong institutions are the bedrock of any democracy. An evidence of a lack of strong institutions is our over reliance on the executive arm of government.

Our legislature, judiciary and law enforcement are extremely weak and that is why glaring corruption has become a culture in Nigeria and this isn’t only politics but across every aspect of life.

That means we will continue swimming in corruption, Nigeria is hard nut to crack on corruption side, if u really want to crack it, you will need a hard solution.

How can person stole billions and will only get some years sentence, small time he will come out and will be looking for another position to enter, some will even be blabbing mouth.

I usually ask my lil brother can he count from 1 to a million, he will said "No" but not that he won't count it but the stress and time it will take to reach a million grin, but somebody that was elected will go and stole billions, Omo naija people get heart oo.

Okay if killing is bad, the years sentence you will get if you're guilty of corruption is the years the amount of money you steal. grin

The best way to combat corruption is to make the incentive to steal harder
There will still be stubborn ones who won't change

E.g Poverty increases chances of girls doing Olosho business. Even if you say you bring armor tank to kill anyone in Olosho business when hunger hammer girls they will risk the death. The best way is to reduce the incentive to do Olosho first
otherwise prison no go contain people
The credit system where people can borrow is a good start which should be developed more in Nigeria

Reminds me of one poor man with many wives and children. No food at home and he will go out the children will be hungry and begging neighbors for food. When the man comes back he go dey vex for children because dem dey disgrace am by begging
Instead of providing food first
The ones wey no listen then punish

My goodness cry

I saw one guy's video on IG yesterday. He's a poultry farmer with a lot of chicken , I guess he's resident in bayelsa. He said he's lost over 1,000 chicken ( one could see the dead chickens in the video)since the flood cut off the roads thereby preventing those bringing in feeds, medicine etc from delta to bayelsa.

I was heartbroken seeing a very honest man witness his sweat turn to dust due to a situation he does not have control over.

That's true tho.

On last paragraph, me I really want the next government, to pass a law on child policy ( you won't born more than five children). Nigeria really needs to adopt that because this "go into the world and multiply" (talking on experience, Don't know other people's excuse) e dey intoxicate some people especially the poor to born more than what they can take care of(ur example of a man with many wives).

The principal of the school I taught during NYSC had 26 children when I was leaving he just married a 17yr old that just finished NECO. During school time he takes part of the food meant for the hostel students supplied by the ministry but during the holidays when no food is supplied the children go hungry and beg

People use religion as a reason for that and honestly there isn't much govt can do. only reasonable ones will look at their economy and abide others will find excuse for their irresponsible act
If you and your wife decide to have 15 children what can govt do
It's this that fuels almajiri bandit olosho agbero industry

Lemme narrate the experience I'm talking about

This man is approaching 70rs, he bare 15 children from two wives, when I asked why did he desire to have more children when his first five children re three girls and two boys, he quoted me the bible "go into the world and multiply" grin grin and another excuse is that now he have 15 children, that if he demand 100k naira from ten of his children, that he will get 1 million naira easily grin grin, just look at

But here's what reality is showing now

he's battling postrate and still working (mechanic), spending more than 3k naira a day to put food on the table excluding other family expenses. Two children re still in secondary school level, four in university. No investment home and abroad, not even a house.

His elder sons, no get tangible job, same with his daughters, everywhere proving difficult for him.

Sometimes I usually use his good friend as an example how ignorant he is, his friend the same age as him, five children he bared, all of them Canada. The man has up to three cars gifted by his children, no longer work, just enjoying life peacefully and in all still a Christian.

Two speech renovators.

Mr A.. Tinubu is right cox during Obj's regime government officials bought cars from local vehicle assembling plants. Can we say that BAT as governor also bought cars from the same company for Lagos state government officials?

Mr B... many Nigerians who drive expensive cars borrowed to buy them.. who are the many Nigerians? U mean people like Dino Melaye, Davidos, Cubana chief priest, Hushpuppi & Tonto Dikes/Destiny Etikos?

a young Nigerian graduate who's probably jobless(apart 4rm G~boys & god of men) cannot afford 7m cash to buy a car. Tell me how he will get a loan of 7m? In the abroad they do give out loan cox they knw you're not jobless.

If I already picked a candidate, insulting me won’t change my mind. If I am undecided, insulting me won’t persuade me to your divide. So why do some people insist on engaging with insult? Except doing that makes you feel good, then it’d make sense. Feeling good is not bad.

I think this is the height of unprofessionalism of the Nigerian police .

One of the attackers of Suleiman’s convoy was arrested and u can see unprofessional policemen interrogating him in the open public , while he’s not giving the needed answer one of the policemen shot him in the leg. It was alleged he died at the station grin

https://twitter.com/ako7paul/status/1583595996080009216?s=46&t=XnNHNktb9gRVUKpts34SuA

I think the policeman should be arrested . I mean how do u shoot a suspect who just killed ur colleagues and u are looking for answers to their death ?

I understand your point and agree to some extent but if we look at it another way.

The policeman just saw some of his friends killed and knowing Nigerian legal system these killers might be out Scott free in another 6months because one oga that must not be named is involved.

Maybe that's his own way of delivering instant judgment that he knows the system might deny him.

Let me ask if you catch an armed robber in your estate are you sure there won't be temptation to deliver instant judgment to him?

It's barbaric but when people lack faith in the system they can do anyhow

I'm assuming the police does not have a hidden motive

Zungeru Hydropower DAM. Completed by President Buhari in Niger State to hold excess water and provide additional 700MW of electricity to Nigerians by first quarter 2023.From POWERCHINA 2016. The Chinese are covering 75% of the funding while Nigeria is paying the 25%. Buhari approved N77bn in the 2023 budget as the final tranche , after paying N43bn this year .Fed Govt is paying N22bn as compensation to the villagers ,with final N2.7bn approved

Yesterday, after over 10 years of surviving in displaced camps, the people of Ngarannam town in Borno State, were officially resettled following the construction of 804 houses (school, hospital, market included) by the Governor Zulum administration in collaboration with the UNDP.

To give the people of the community that was ravaged by Boko Haram insurgents a fresh start to life, each household was given the sum of N100,000, a cattle, he and she goat as well as food and clothings.
