ooh no... all those can be validated online i think.. none have asked me, not even educational credentials. Those are also validated as an int'l student.

I am simply trying to get my drivers' license across. I heard they intercept drivers' license coming from 9ja because our folks are reluctant to do theirs here. (d tin cost sha to do here, almost $900-1k total). Plus if you wanna jump the learners class restriction for a 1st time permit processing, you gotta show your previous license. Not to talk of plenty jobs here weh require valid license.

The package of credentials is to simply let it not look like na only license i wan send.

I am still very much looking for who wee epp a local man carry d tin ooh

Got it. Thanks for the clarification.

I know some people have advised you to admit that you used an agent. Just double check whether you'll get into trouble if you should do that. Because I think you risk getting a 5 year ban for misrepresentation.

Alternatively, maybe say that you used a friend's card to make the payment and that you weren't aware of any issues - that you were shocked to receive this notice from them and you've lost touch with the friend so you can't get to the bottom of what went wrong. Then proceed to apologise and attach proof of the new payment.

SoftdudeKay:

Good afternoon guys. Please I need urgent assistance and advice. I applied for tourist visa in March 2020 (before the lockdown) through an agent here in Nigeria, and there was no update on the application. So, I applied for study visa in July this year by myself. I have been waiting to get response from the IRCC and I just got a response today, saying there was a request from me (that’s my agent) to my bank that the application fee (my previous application) should be refunded. Now I have to provide valid point in 15 days as to why I requested for the refund and I need to pay the $185CAD. The payment isn’t the problem, but I contacted the agent and obviously, he knows about it but claimed he didn’t make the payment from his card, that someone else made the payment for him, and he’s not been able to reach the person.

NOTE: the agent didn’t use the “Use of Representative Form”.

Please, what do I do now?

Kindly advise me accordingly.

HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Good day all the gurus in the house who have been helpful. I have been following this thread for a while.
Last year, I got admission with Niagara College, Welland, Canada for two different courses: 1- Computer programming (undergraduate diploma certificate- 2years
2- Industrial Automation (Graduate Certificate- 1 year program)
For reason of career progression I accepted Industrial Automation which I later deferred. For the sake of visa and employment purposes, Pls I need your advice on which one to go for. Hope a year program is not too risky? Thanks I have B.Eng in Elect/Elect. Engrn 13yrs ago with 2.1. I currently work as Utility Engineer in manufacturing industry.

@softdudekay

Do not say that you used an agent, I repeat, Do not say that you used an agent I am saying this from experience
Although I didn’t get a 5 year ban based on my refusal letter, but it contributed to my last PR refusal and that’s part of what I have to defend now in a new application.

NEVER EVER BRING UP NEW ISSUES FOR AN OFFICER TO DIG THROUGH …..my 2 cents

This what their refunds policy says
REFUND POLICY: CBU has recently updated its refund policy and it must be noted:
 100% of a student’s deposit will be returned in the case their study visa is not granted and they were not enrolled in any courses (appropriate documentation is required from the student). Please email internationalaccounts@cbu.ca to make this request. CBU reserves the right to contact IRCC to verify the status of a visa and/or study permit application and/or to verify the contents of a refusal letter.

This is fine, you can go ahead and pay. I will suggest you pay 1000 CAD and add the balance to your POF.

Good day,

Thank you for your correspondence.

IRCC has seen an unprecedented volume of applications received for both initial study permits and extensions in 2022, not just from citizens of one country or region but on a global scale. We are making every effort to reduce wait times in our services globally.

We also highly encourage clients to check IRCC’s Processing Times to let them know how long it took us to process most complete applications in the past. It starts the day we receive your complete application and ends when we make a decision. It may vary depending on the number of applications we receive and how complex they are to process. It is important to understand that processing times are estimates and may vary.

We know that some applicants have experienced significant wait times with the processing of their applications, and we understand your frustration. We are working hard to process applications on time and reduce processing times. We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.

Putting people first is at the core of how IRCC serves clients. We are committed to delivering seamless, quality services that works for everyone.

Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. I have reviewed your study permit application
and supporting documentation to assess whether you meet the requirements for a study permit
(https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/

paragraph R216(1)(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/

leave Canada, based on the following factors:
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel
for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable). Please guys explain it to me

Hello Chief,

I noticed you said your PPR came in the evening. Is your passport returned to you yet?
I’ve been seeing counterfoils with Abuja not Nairobi recently. Maybe Abuja is now processing applications.

Yes my passport has been returned to me on Friday. I submitted it last Friday. And I think Abuja is now processing stamping.

So sorry about this but it seems the VO believes that your available cash cannot take care of your study and personal needs and also did u apply for someone to accompany you maybe on vv or sowp.
Then what you used for your home ties like building and investment seems not to have convinced the vo that you will come back
