Miyah1: It depends. If it is sin(s), it is either against God or against Man. If it is against God (Disobedience to His Eternal Laws), grief it in your soul, seek forgiveness and resolve within you that you won't do it again and don't do it again. God is Ever Merciful and Forgiving. He will forgive. If it against Man/Woman, what you took, can it be returned? If yes, return it and seek their forgiveness. If not, (there are things is taken or stolen that can't be returned like honour etc) if you can compensate, do it and beg their forgiveness and God's forgiveness too. Then move on with your life, God will forgive. Whatever you must done to wrong your own soul is not up to what the Children of Israel did and Gid forgives Sorry, there are Bible passage to support what I wrote, but I no get time to reference them. Cheers. Between I am a Muslim 38 Likes 4 Shares |

Redomi: This is not always true...the below quote explains better. Lukuluku69: If you're born again then you're no longer a slave to sin (or your past life). Romans 6. If your repentance is genuine then you have a new life in Christ. 2Cor 5:17. Live this new life by the word of God and the teachings of Christ and His disciples (study the epistles and the other books that teach more about Christian values). Partner with and be filled with the Holy Spirit. The more of the Spirit in you, the less likely you'll think of your past life and be troubled. The more fulfilling you'll be as a Christian. 3 Likes |

Redomi:How did Saul of Tarsus suffer for persecuting Christians after he became born again? Like I said it's not always the case, doesn't mean it's not true. No need for a debate. Remember, God said He'll show mercy to whomever He will. 3 Likes |

deekseen: Sir, what is not true with what I posted? |
Re: As a Christian How Will You Handle This by deekseen(m): 11:11am On Oct 23, 2022 |
Redomi:Given your previous example, I would say you're mixing things up. Are you trying to say even when one becomes born again he'll suffer for the wrong he did when he was a sinner? Then your example of David didn't even help because he was already walking with God when he committed murder. Despite the murder, God still called him His friend. God didn't kill him like your initial statement sounded (that you'll get whatever you did). Now, my example of Saul of Tarsus: Saul's blindness was as a result of his encounter with Christ. Even if you still say he was made blind because of his atrocities, at that point he was not born again. Everything he suffered from the point he received his sight was for the gospel and not because of his past life. Again, God didn't kill him for killing Christians. Please, stop mixing things up. The bible encourages us to help build the faith of our brothers when they're weak not to put the spirit of fear in them. Modified: Even though the Bible says: Galatians 6:7 (KJV) Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. The Bible also says: Hosea 10:12 (KJV) Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you. You have a better chance of obtaining God's mercy when you walk with Him than when you walk in the way of the world. @Redomi, this modified part above is my point. There's a difference between Knowing Bible stories, Reading the Bible and studying the Bible. 3 different levels. 4 Likes |

Miyah1:There's what is called Godly sorry. It causes us to hate sin or feel remorse for our wrong doings and encourages us to love righteousness. If you feel this way, then by the help of the Holy Spirit, start a ministry or something to reach out to those still trapped in that lifestyle. You could find your very calling fulfilling this one task. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Confess your sin to God. The first step to finding healing is confessing your sins to God. ... Confess your sin to the ones you have hurt. ... Accept consequences. ... Remind yourself of God's truth. ... Finally talk to a true man of God for guidance 1 Like |

Miyah1: As long as you have given your life to Christ, then your feelings cannot reduce your righteousness in Christ, feelings should not be used as a yardstick to measure righteousness, Follow Christ and what Christ has said, get books like Rhapsody of realities and read it everyday, you just need to renew your mind. 1 Like |

The Bible said we shouldn't be weary of tomorrow, but I can see you're wirried about the past. ““Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That's why it is called the present” - Master Oogway, Kung Fu Panda”. You can make do with that quote. No shaking. |

It would be easier to advise you if you let us into your past. If it's only smoking ( which I doubt) like you claimed, then it's no biggies. ( Even if it's something more grave than that), Simply go on your knees and ask the holy spirit to help you. Tell him you're helpless in this situation and before you know it, It will all be behind you. Trust me. The holy spirit answers prayers. |
