Very far from impressive. Chukwueze, Ejuke, Lookman et al YouTube highlights are much better than that compilation of his best performance in the Egyptian premier league. However, he is yet to wear the SE jersey, so let him enjoy his honeymoon. grin grin grin

Mujtahida:
Iwobi's assist yesterday was so satisfying. What pleased me the most was the intelligence he showed in quickly running into the space behind the CP defence and beating offside. The back heel was sumptuous, a rare delight that only tantalizes our imagination as to what would have been if we had qualified for the WC.

Iwobi understands space better than anyone in the Premier League not named Kevin de Bruyne, a result of his long upbringing in the Gunners academy.

And Onuachu scores his 7th league goal. Man can't be stopped!
Bags via a header that took deflections off two opposition lads (GK and a defender) before it went in.

Scores for the 5th consecutive game. 7 in 5.

Genk up 2-0 away at Alhassan's Antwerp.

You assume like many here that it's only players that come from deprivation in Africa. That have the resilience and determination to succeed and over come all the odds.

For starters go and check Lukaku story , it's incredible his rise to bring one of the best strikers in the World. Essentially he had been top of his game since age 16 when he started playing for Anderlecht first team.

There is poverty in Europe as well , so consider things in context.

In my opinion physical damage and struggle are not as significant as psychological damage that impacts on your sense of identity, self esteem, aspiration and convictions. The damage that institutional racism, discrimination, exclusion, unconscious bias, race motivated abuse, negative race based denigration, etc, etc .

These present and continuous , behaviours are ingrained but are strongly held by the decision makers and owners of football clubs in Europe.

Eberechi was released and rejected by over 10 clubs, before my friend Chris Ramsey ( he is black) brought him to QPR after being released by Millwall. Shockingly within 6 month's he was in the first team

There are many more similar stories were black players are disproportionately affected by negative decision that are anchored on racial discrimination.

not every time you argue, they talking about someone who had to sell pure water to make a living you talking about someone being released from his club because he wasn’t good enough.

TheLoneCitizen:

The amount of players who have made it to the big time backed by motivation from their impoverished past is overwhelming.

I cannot think of a great African player who didn't come from a poor background.

Yaya Toure ate one meal a day. Was an apprentice to a shoe-shiner.

Didier Drogba parents lost their jobs and relied on a brother for food. Couldn't pay his school fees. Drogba forced to leave for France, twice.

Eto'o lived in France as an illegal migrant for large majorities.

Ask Haaland why he plays football with so much passion, brother will give one trivial reason like beating his father's record.
Ask Osimhen why hec plays football with so much passion, he will tell you how he sold pure water with his mom in Lagos traffic.

Which rich African was allowing their child have football dreams? That point sounds good but it is not sound at all. There were other people struggling with those African greats and I bet a lot of them also played football.

When Osimhen was a boy there is a story about him crying and following behind his brother as he sold newspapers in traffic and all he wanted were football boots. That boy didn't know anything about getting his family out of financial burden. All he wanted was to play the game he loved.

Osimhen runs hard because that is the quality that got him into the U17s. We can thank Amunike for that quality.

You have a micro view, ( selling pure water) my comments are much more in-depth and encompassing.

Before you comment it is wisdom to actually read then understand and appreciate the context of comments and read the entirety of the write up not just a small segment.

Poverty is a state of mind as well as a socio-economic paradigm.

Do you know what its like to sit in a freezing cold house because you cannot afford to heat your home. Having a permanent cold and the flue.

Poverty has the same psychological and socio-economic impact irrespective of location. The degree may be different relatively but the loss of well being and self esteem remain the same.

Compare him to all the forward players Chelsea have bought , he is far off the mark.

They are players at the top of their Leagues , as top goal scorers in league and club.

VO is an excellent player with great potential but he has not attained top goal scorer or similar in a top league YET.

After this season if he doesn't become a top five goal scorer in Seria A, then his potential to be world class will be questioned and indeed his value.

have you for once put into consideration that injuries contributed in him not scoring over 15 goals a season since he moved to Italy?

Easy on the lad abeg!

if osimhen is underrated by top clubs and scouts like u do he won’t be gaining interest from bigger teams in europe

He has that fighting spirit but his precision at goal is not too good. However, he can improve with big teams like Manu, Chelsea and Bayern.

he his scoring goals and that's what is important not been top scorer...

Vinicius Junior has never been top scorer but he scored the goal that won Real Madrid the UCL..

Osimhen should go to Bayern or PSG if any of this teams don't come for him then he should stay in Napoli where he is guaranteed to be playing in UEFA competitions.
