these people shouldn't even be called "agents". You don't call a quack who botched your treatment a "doctor". perfectbecky: 3 Likes |

jaydave: There is something called conciseness, you can have a single page SOP and it will make sense tot he reader. And you actually don’t need 77 pages of documents, just a few relevant documents to add to the mandatory ones and you will be fine. 1 Like |

Joenix99: I started on the 30th of September, you might have to start your application earlier because you need to give ircc time. |

Joenix99: Applications on this thread are taking 3 to 4 months, so you may not get your PPR in time if you apply in November. You'll probably get it in February or March. Maybe aim for May intake instead. 2 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by johnstan(m): 8:16am On Oct 24, 2022 |
socially4fun: Wire transfers are not free. You will be charged the CBN form A charges and sometimes some offshore charges. You will not be charged for converting the currency if your invoice is in USD and you are using your USD account. If your invoice is in CAD you will be charged for conversation since your account is in USD. Good luck. |

amila20042001: Got a mail from UBA stating that it now takes 4 - 6 weeks. Your application is only just about 4 weeks so chill and hope it doesn't extend to 6 weeks. Good luck. |

JaneCedars: You can get an immigration lawyer specialized in handling these kinda of cases. He/she would most probably still apologize and state that you did not do that internationally. They might be less harsh if it's coming from a lawyer. - my opinion though. Alternatively, you can do the explanation your self and hope it turns out fine. Good luck. 1 Like |

This is not a good one, a lot of applicants don't want to be part of the process and end up expecting too much from the agent who in turn cut corners to meet these expectations. There is no need putting in a study visa application if you don't have money. How do you use a made up bank statement for something as important as a visa application? JaneCedars: 1 Like |

socially4fun: Alright, you will still be charged for the transfer. It's not free. Even local transfers aren't free. You can generate your bank statement to see the narration if you were debited the chargers separately. If it was debited along with the principal funds then you can contact them to know how much the charge is. Good luck. |

bepositive11: Please, I need urgent assistance and advice. I applied for tourist visa in March 2020 (before the lockdown) through an agent here in Nigeria, and there was no update on the application. So, I applied for study visa in July this year by myself. I have been waiting to get response from the IRCC and I just got a response on Saturday saying there was a request from me (that’s my agent) to my bank that the application fee (my previous application) should be refunded. Now I have to provide valid point in 15 days as to why I requested for the refund and I need to pay the $185CAD. The payment isn’t the problem, but I contacted the agent and obviously, he knows about it but claimed he didn’t make the payment from his card, that someone else made the payment for him, and he’s not been able to reach the person. NOTE: the agent didn’t use the “Use of Representative” form. The agent got back to me yesterday saying the person he contacted to help make the payment has finally responded to him, claiming that the application fee was reversed. I’ve requested him to get a bank letter showing that it was a reversal in error from the bank but he’s not giving me any hope of doing that. I don’t know yet to figure out how to go about this case properly and what evidence to attach to my explanation. As it is now, I only have the application fee payment receipt with me. Also, the last paragraph of my second attachment says “and an explanation as to why you did not declare your representative (accompanied with a “Use of Representative” form), if applicable.” After submitting my application in July, I contacted a Canadian based Representative (agent) in September to help find out what was wrong with my application and he sent me the Consent form to sign, which I did. But it was not declared when I was applying because I did the application by myself, and I think now they are asking about that. Please advise.
