Mehn... I low-key just didn't wanna comment on Kvara's quietness yesterday whenever he was up against Smalling. Smalling silenced him.

I love Kvaratskhelia so much I intentionally spell his full name on twitter when analysing him. But yesterday, Smalling was merciless. Kvaradona got pocketed but shaaa... he is still one of the best wingers in world football this season. Bad games dey happen to even the best and the finest.

And you are right. The X-factor Osimhen carried took Napoli over the line yesterday.

As for England... they better not kid themselves. BUKAYO SAKA IS EASILY ENGLAND'S BEST WINGER RIGHT NOW.
It would be a huge disservice to that team to bench Saka.

Only Foden is up there with Saka both in form and quality as regards that England team's Attacking wing options.

Great thing is both are also greatly capable of playing on the inside in the halfspaces and can receive passes on the half turns effortlessly.

Saka has to start or Gareth is a joker.

BascoVanVeli:

The way he was handling my Faradona like he isn't one of the best wingers in the world this season. If not for Osimhen Napoli wouldn't have smelled anything like goal yesterday.

Yea Southgate and co will get them disgraced at the world cup. I also have a feeling Saka won't be a starter on the team. England has too much politics sha

But he isnt wrong...For a player like him that has spent his professional career in Denmark and Belgium, 25m is a lot of money... I don't agree with the age or location part...
How old was Ighalo when Man Utd signed him? How old was Enyeama when he joined Lille?
at which rate? Reduce Onuachu price to 9 or 10m euros and see clubs in England rush him.

Mourinho taking notes:

"I used to have Drogba. Today, I have OFFICIALLY found his successor.

Mourinho has indeed taken notes:

“We have to be more decisive upfront, what lodges into the statistics are the shots on goal. Then I also look at the half opportunities, those that you have to transform into opportunities as Osimhen did.”

Goals win games!!!! Therefore if goals win games, then we can infer that we can judge the quality of a striker by his ability to score goals qed.
Ability to score goals is not as important as doing it consistently. Goals may be the primary objective but most coaches nowadays are also interested in secondary objective — what you bring in apart from goals. QED

Please don’t say this
Iheanacho was scoring regularly when he was at City
But Since he got to Leicester he struggles to get tap ins etc. He sometimes has to drop deep to get things going
Man City is a machine already automated for strikers to get loads of chances.

So effectively what you are saying is that Manchester City FC can make a bang average striker look very good and make an excellent striker , "SUPER MAN"

I said years ago the true test of KC is when he leaves Man city and isn't surrounded by world players making him look wonderful.

Look at his trajectory with Liecester City his first season 2017–18 after 21 games just 3 goals scored, followed by 2018–19 season 30 games and just shockingly 1goal all season. The 2019–20 season was 20 games and 5 goals still very poor.

He then astounded everybody with a very good season 2020/21 it's like he got some Viagra and found his potency he scored 12 goals from 25 games.

But the last two seasons he has returned back to his level he's played 9 games and 1 goal this season he had 4 goals from 26 games last season.

But many here call him clinical finisher top striker etc and when you put the be facts on ground ,they say it's HATE.

Again you erroneously don't look at the number of minutes played.

The season KC did well in compare the minutes and that will form part of the reason why he scored so few times in previous games.

No doubt Iheancho needs to step up but how can you criticize someone that gets 10 minutes 5 minutes here will he perform magic? Plus surprise surprise the only game in which he scored he started.

He isn't only ignoring the minutes, but also the competition.. the stats he listed are for the premier league alone... No FA cup, league cup, UEL and UECL goals..
According to him, goals scored against small things in domestic cup games aren't important...Yet players from those small teams are the like he clamors for to be called up to the national team

The problem with Ronaldo is that he is too ambitious... He just doesn't want to accept the facr that his time is up.. there's no team that will keep him now as their main target man like it was before... He is at best a bench player now . He just doesn't want to accept it..

Any other forward player should not be called up.

Dennis & Kelechi are good
It immensely depends on the midfielders too. Ndidi & Iwobi in the middle of the park would be great

You are right ,Ronaldo doesn’t just want to accept .

Maybe if he was a playmaker it would have helped him .

Now that jota is out of the World Cup ,cr7 might just start for Portugal and play all games

I forgot about Dennis and Nathan Tella.

How they are playing for SE and how they are playing for their clubs are two different things...

Dennis against Ghana wasn't dropping deep to help the defense and wasn't closing down players and wasn't running after through passes.. Dennis always wanted the ball at his feet.. So in my opinion, Dennis is bad for the SE.

Ihenacho is also bad for the SE due to the fact that he also doesn't drop deep and should be used as a striker which means another striker will be dropped for him which I consider an abomination... or he will play midfield and since he doesn't drop deep is also an abomination..

SE strikers are:
Osimhen
Moffi
Onuachu,
Nathan Tella ( if he plays for Nigeria )
Lookman
Awoniyi
Victor Boniface
Sadiq
Dessers
Okereke
and at worst Emmanuel Dennis ( due to his pace and must not play as a winger )

Nathan Tella is not a striker. The fact he is scoring doesn't make him one. He plays from the wings as a wing forward.... not as a touchline winger.

Lookman as a CF only works well in a 2-man attack. He's more of an inside forward than an actual striker.

Okay... I thought he was a striker shocked shocked shocked

SE needs wingers that score goals the way his scoring goals grin grin grin

they can still be tested as strikers.

The Hierarchy of Strikers in the Super Eagles currently based on both quality and form simply suggests that the Top 3 are:

- Victor Osimhen

- Terem Moffi

- Sadiq Umar

But Sadiq's Injury gives room for Onuachu and Awoniyi to fight it out for that 3rd spot behind Moffi and Osimhen right now.

Outside the Top 3, the others in no particular order:

- Ebere Paul Onuachu

- Taiwo Awoniyi

- Cyriel Dessers

- David Okereke (Uncapped)

- Victor Boniface (Uncapped)

- Emmanuel Dennis (more of an inside forward who does well also in a 2 man attack)

- Ademola Lookman (similar in role profile to Dennis).

- Josh Maja

- ETC

Well, he's not. Played mostly LW and RW this season but his ability to cut in on the inside or direct his movement invertedly places him in positions to bag goals.

He's more of an inverted winger (or Inverted WF) than an inside forward. Dennis and Lookman stay higher up the pitch and closer to the box than Tella would initially.
