Is The Office Of Uk's Prime Minister Been Downgraded? by nisah(m): 1:38pm On Oct 25, 2022 |
Hello Nairalanders, going by the recent happenings in UK politics especially as it affect the office the Prime Minister, i have a feeling that the recent PMs (Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak) are not in the league of the likes of Margaret T, Tony B,Gordon B, Davis C. etc in terms of experience and expossure. It appears to me that the level of experience of the recent crop of contenders to this office is far below the standard of those that were there 15 years and beyond. However, one major positive out of this is that youths are bracing up and the country's politics is matured and working unlike here that we kept recycling old and expired politicians. |

This is like claiming when Nigeria stops electing octogenarians and elects younger people, the office of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has been downgraded. It's also like claiming a child who inherits the business of the father downgrades the office of Chief Executive Officer. I guess the solution is bring back Margaret T, Tony B, Gordon B, Davis C. and Buhari then. Better still, go and drag Abacha from hell and vote for him if you don't think your generation is an upgrade. 1 Like |

budaatum: Argue with facts please...... Let me say this: I am from the North, and the best performing Governors in the North in terms of Infrastructural development are El Rufa'i of Kaduna, Zulum of Borno and Ganduje of Kano State. Rememder also, that we have young Governors in Niger and Kogi States that have failed woefully in terms of infrastructural development and general governance. So i cant agree with you please. |

nisah: You don't have to agree with me just as I don't have to agree with you. Age is obviously not necessarily a determinant of whether one governs well, as you have shown, but claiming an office is downgraded because younger people are elected is also proven wrong by the evidence you've provided. 1 Like |
