At this point I think ur beef with Jonathan is personal . Probably there’s something that affected u on a personal level during his tenure .

I mean when we talk insecurity , Boko Haram , ISWAP , Fulani herdsmen , etc people generally argue that insecurity is a global issue which the government of the day can only do its bit to manage. But here u are blaming Jonathan for what Buhari is also doing as regards security of our oil facilities . Someone here already pointed it out that oil theft has nothing to do with the government in power but communities where those oil wells are located are complicit irrespective of who is the president .

It doesn’t matter who Jonathan gave the contract of survellance of our oil wells and pipelines, the host communities will always steal oil so far they believe they are getting the short end of the stick when it comes to proceeds from those oil facilities in their community . How u summarily made oil theft a gift of Jonathan to the people of Nigeria begs for answers .

You are missing my point. Just as there was always some level of subsidy fraud, there has always been oil theft. The difference is that both grew into nation threatening proportions under GEJ. Subsidy because it became a free for all where every Tom.dick and Harry with connections was making false subsidy claims because there was an enabling environment

oil bunkering because gej gave tompolo and Co oversight of the pipelines. These guys were previously selling crude for weapons. Now you give them the keys to the kingdom. Effectively the same thing happened, an enabling environment for oil thieves. You think asari dokubos university was built on contracts alone? There is a thread and eventually I will fish it out where there is a picture of a tanker that caught fire during bunkering and burned for days.

As for the issue of VAT collection you know that some of the breweries also produce non-alcoholic beverages which are consumed in the states in where alcohol consumption are prohibited, also the states which allows for alcohol can get the figures of VAT accrued from alcohol sales approach the relevant authorities and do the needful.
