That said, I have no problems with Rishi practicing his religion. And the Conservatives did not appoint him to please his Hindu heritage. India does not have as large a proportion of Christians as UK has of Hindus, to start with, though that's not to imply Rishi was nominated by Hindus. And India is not as tolerant as UK, going by the Muslim-Hindu clashes going on there.
