Damn!

$69,000 or 138,000 option of fine. Or even jail term + fine!

That's enough deterrent to not misbehave.

When in Rome... behave like Romans. Arabian countries wouldn't condone some behaviour accepted in Nigeria.

Arabs are virulently racist towards Blacks. They feel we are inferior and people rushing there as if it's Heaven reinforces their low perception of Africans. Crime... Cultism doesn't help too.

Nigeria MUST be fixed. There's no choice.

One think you need to learn is to be cautious with your utterances otherwise you reveal your ignorance.

Gulf Arab countries have black Arabs too. You need to visit gulf region to know. Don’t always throw around racism, it doesn’t always stick

Don't be stupid and just write like everyone is as ignorant or as unexposed as you're.

Arabs are very racist towards Blacks. Like it or not.

Jeune Afrique, an international publication of repute that also confirmed it...are ignorant too? Some of you just think others have low IQs and you can write anyhow.

Do you mean that the UAE officials have a right to detain her illegally and she can't do a recording.

What are the officials afraid of in the video recording?

Why do officers of the law in some advanced countries have body cameras on duty. Should we assume that the person they are engaging on the has rights that are being infringed upon since they are often not aware of the cameras or it is without their consent.
No dey make noise online for your house, enter plane go dubai go tell dem.

NIDCOM is run by mo--rons. If the girl were an American, would these troglodytes dare touch her?
They’re always scared of USA citizens even if you’re black , as far you hold that USA passport.

Yes if she's an American she will be detained. Countless American journalists have been detained in Arab countries for different reasons in the past. Africans traveling don't even bother to read the laws of the country they're traveling to. They think all this Arab countries get pity for anybody papa. They have the most strict laws. Let her serve her time or pay the fine. Others go learn from her mistake.
My guy they will either deport an American for minor issues like this or if that Arab countries is not in good terms with the USA or there’s conflict else they respect Americans wella.
Even drew brinsky the America guy of Jewish parents goes to Iran, Pakistan and other Arab countries to video their cultures to the world these countries have serious issues with American but they’ve not done anything to the guy upon even the drone America sent to Iran yet they didn’t do him anything.

I do not know why any sane or reasonable person would want to go visit, holiday in Arabic countries generally. I avoid them like the plague.

Other than the fact that this countries were able to develop their infrastructures, the countries are all semi- jails waiting for you to commit an offense. Ridiculous and oppressive laws to keep their citizens repressed and in chains. That definitely isn’t a normal society.

If they are not arresting for consuming alcohol, they are arresting because 2 consenting adults kissed in public or because you made a video and posted on twitter. Something you would do in over 200 countries without issues. You could get thrown in jail for flimsy reasons. They are always out to show that they are the most religious countries in the world.

Why I would change my dollars to go spend in such a sadistic country beggars belief.

Malta, Seychelles, Cape Verde, cayman island never finish.

Pathetic UAE.

Above 30 without sense

Is there anywhere the article said she or other nigerians was the cause of the blanket ban on so many African countries?

Get sense oo

You are a big fool. Are you just knowing the reason behind UAE ban on Nigerians Under 30 from getting a visa?

Nigerians will always be the problem of Nigeria. Foolish cultists with no future will be spoiling opportunities for those sane Nigerians with future. Thank God I am above 30

Another reason they could have banned Nigeria and so many other countries can be due to Ebol:a in Uganda.. so you been over 30 may not help you.

I think the reason for the confusion is that the UAE has taken various measures against Africans and so people have mixed them up.

She was not affected by the most recent ban (taken in October). She was affected by a decision taken in August after a fight between groups of Nigerian cultists. The UAE decided that Nigerians below 40 years of age can only come to their country on a family visa. That is, they could only come if they already had family in the UAE.

Some Nigerians got family visas, but they had not family in the UAE, so UAE officials detained them at the airport. She was also detained because her sister was not there to receive her. She made a video of the Nigerians that were detained at the airport and the UAE officials that were detaining them. Her sister subsequently came to pick her and the officials released her to her sister.

However, she had already shared the video on Twitter and so the UAE officials were waiting to arrest her when she was leaving their country.

Funny thing is the guy didn't use his American passport because there's a ban on visiting such countries with the USA passport.
He even spoke about the misconception about those countries just to sound diplomatic.
They told him they like Americans, not their government.
