Advision:or let's just say the retailer up-North are more considerate than their southern counterparts, because if u consider the cost of moving the product from the south where the facility is to the north, then it shld be more expensive in the North. |

Johnrake69: The issue lies on demand for cooking gas, Majority of Northerners, atleast 67% of Northerners use firewood to cook , some don't even have kerosene stoves to cook with .... How can you expect an Hausa man with 23 children, with most of them , he doesn't know where they are, found himself cooking with gas The actual people demanding for gas in the North are their elites , local government Counsellors, chairman, State House of reps , few Alhajis , and Governors..... So you see why the price is low over there, because they don't even see much people buying it .... But South South, ooops , every household has cooking Gas 2 Likes |

ArcSEMPECJ:Your ignorance about the north is top notch. There are even locally fabricated gas cylinders in the north to allow people get access to using gas cookers. Take it from someone who has seen life from both sides. The only difference is that an average northerner is contented with the little profit he/she can make unlike you people that are eager to cheat and outdo one another. Here people just want to eat, practice their religion and live simple life. But you all must rush and use the latest things even when it's not necessary. The average price of a bag of sachet water in the north is still between 120-150 as at today. How much is it in your area? 1 Like |

Re: Cooking Gas Price Increases By 61% by JJuanMiguel: 3:54pm On Oct 27, 2022 |
Ebubu:Wholesalers and retailers who are northerners rarely exploit people in the north, that's why things are cheaper there. Foodstuff, building materials, textiles materials, medicines etc. One kg of chicken is between 1700-1900 for example. So him saying gas is cheaper in the north because it's only politicians and elites that make use of it is ignorance. Even during fuel scarcity, owners of filling stations in the south, east and west are always quick to start selling at exorbitant prices while the ones in the north still maintain fair price. |
