English does not represent Christianity. Please don't get this wrong. Some Odu Ifa books are written in English language. English language is the nation's official language.
the same way Arabic does not represent Islam, there are Christian Arabs, there is even an Arabic bible.. so if the nations note accommodates the peoples belive I do not see anything wrong in that ..

Exactly! We can all read English. You are the one contradicting yourself. It should not have to do with religion, at all. English is the official language here. Other languages are national languages, and Arabic is not one of them.

I'm not hausa. I don't have to be hausa to understand what hausa feel or face same with other tribes. We are all from.same creator..

there should be a sense if inclusiveness. same way I fight for that for igbos I have same energy for other regions and tribes especially major ones.

Then, you should know that it's not fair to fulfill the wish of just a particular region of the nation when there are several others. Hausas have their own language that is not the same as Arabic. If not, they will not be going to Arabic schools again to learn the language.

Hausa muslim speak Arabic actually.. it's a religion thing. Same with southwest Muslims. I am only suggesting inclusiveness and sense of belonging which every region and religion seeks. Nothing more

We are not colonized by Arabian we are colonized by the British and only English language is our official language to keep. How on hell was Arabic in our currency?

When did Arabic become Nigeria's official language?

The indirect imposition of middle east culture religiously inherited by some Nigerians is pungent and frowsky.

Its a cunny attempt to impose certain religious factors into our national life.

Arabic has been with us years before the British thought of coming here. If we can have English, why not Arabic?

English is big in every region of Nigeria. It's our lingua franca. After our local language, the only other language most of us can speak is English.

Arabic on the other hand is big only in the north. It's almost zero in the south east and South South.

If most of you can speak that English in the south and most northerners understand better the Arabic language, why shouldn't that be included? Both English and Arabic aren't ours, so why the problem with Arabic?

Nigeria isn't an Islamic country. Our currency notes should bear one language which is English.

They learn it; it's not their mother tongue. It is not a religion thing, neither is it a regional thing. It is an official thing.

It's a mess already
And now that English is our lingua franca, must we retain the Arabic?

That's our history and must never be forgotten because of your hate. Christianity in Nigeria is less than 150 years. Islam has been for over 500 years in Nigeria. It's been a long time civilisation and that's what taught us how to read ad write.

No one forgets his history. No one.

Don't let's tow that line sir- we have our reservations towards your religion, just the way you have yours where Christianity is concerned! Just so you know- formal education is associated with Western/Christianity while Arabic/Islamic education remains an informal education on the history of education.

You are prevarication..
So because the Koran is written in Arabic, that makes it the most spoken language by Muslim Nigerians ?
What happens when they are NOT reading the Koran?

WE DONT WANT YOUR RELIGION ON OUR CURRENCY.

CAN U UNDERSTAND THAT?
Re: Redesigning Of Naira Notes: Retain The English & Arabic Languages - Adamu Garba by Mutigadara1: 11:25am On Oct 28, 2022
do you even know how and why the Arabic gets on the naira notes in the first place?
you should have asked yourself why the southerners at that time did not reject the idea, since it was not only the northerners that where in power. in fact the southerners where more in the government than the northerners. then how did it happend? if you can get the answer (unbias) you woundnt be wailing on this issue.
donbenie:
Read which comment?
What does that statement have to do with a multi ethnic Nigeria?
When you are through writing your Arabic in Hausa..
You should also remember to write others in Yoruba,Igbo,Itsekiri,Tiv,Ibibio,Idoma and the more than a hundred other Nigerian languages..

YES, NOW, WE WANT TO REMOVE THE WRITING AND USE NSIBIDI INSTEAD.

it's half on Nigerias religion actually just like bible is in English. U can't dictate to others. it has to be agreed.

why not ask the government to remove the Latin/English writing. since we know that only after the west colonized us.
you see i dont want to turn this into religious issue, but so many people are seeing it as form of ISLAMIZATION which it is not. and if we decide to see it like that, then a Northerner can simply say the entire system of Nigeria is CRISTANIZATION. If you will really look at the history unbias you will see that there is nothing to wail for.
