What makes Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu an exemplar — Senator Adesoji Rilwan Akanbi Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has not just emerge in the political scene like a relevant ghost with no traceable features that can be linked to his person. Uniqueness, is not about whom you are. That is perception. But more of what you do. Tinubu, is a goldfish in a gold bowl. He is an epitome of a malleable man, more like a metal like gold that is always willing to be little. It may come as the news of the year that much as he is willing to dip his hands unto his pocket to personally bankroll his campaigns, good spirited people to whom he is beholden will sprightly rise up to pick the call. Here, he is a lone candle that has light up numerous others. And he is not resting on his oars. He typifies a real man that smiles when he is beset with troubles, where others laments, he looks out for solution. Another reason why Lagos state is best among others. He gathers strength by distress and brave by reflection. One essential quality that astounds many people is his forgiving spirit. He will rather be hard on himself and soft on others. When you do anything to unsettle him and think forgiveness is far away, he merely lòok away and move on and his loyalists soar in number in line with Josiah Royce’s concept of what makes a man sticks to another like a glue in his popular book the “philosophy of loyalty”. When someone recently donated what some people will call a peanut to oil the wheels of his campaigns, I was able to fish out the person and his response was mind blowing. “I may not have much sir, but I just felt like lifting up the man who revels in lifting up others”. I was humbled! Asiwaju’s joy is in ensuring that you put your brain in full throttle. He loves to be surrounded by people, like Jose Miguel says, “who know better”. He is on top of the game also because he reads always to be more. He ensures there is inexhaustible supply of books on diverse subjects on his shelves. A charismatic leader doesn’t rest until they model others for better output. They lead from the back and allow others to take the lead. This servant leadership style makes the Jagaban a leader, second to none. One other unique aspect of Tinubu is his natural ability to wear a thick skin at rumour mongers rather than trying to proof himself right. Facts are sacred, he believes and the truth shall always prevail. Moreover, he is a calculating and focused philantrophist who helps the less advantaged and donates heavily to any worthy cause. His recent one billion naira donation to Lagos state University to set up a center for leadership development will remain a watershed. Integrity is his watchword which he keenly guide as Mariner watches the poles. It bears repeating that one should not easily forget his self awareness which makes him exudes confidence that whatever he touches will turn to gold. Strategic and critical thinking makes him always a light year ahead of others. He is highly cerebral and he clinically watches his steps. Humility is one rare asset you can’t snatch from him. Inspite of the arrogance allegation whirling around, Asiwaju is as humble as a worm. He is a team player anytime. He shares ideas with his subordinates and bows to superior arguments. These communication advantage further endear him to many. With these covetous qualities and others, it is glaring, Tinubu is a leader to watch. The best man the country can’t wait to have as President. 2 Likes 1 Share

1. APC and Tinubu are only popular on Nairaland. Most Social Media platforms don't give attention to promoting him. 2. ...Tinubu is a good man to his loyalists and some praise singers. ...Atiku is also a good man to his friend's and loyalists. ....Obi has not created a niche of loyalists. Those who elect him are his loyalists. 3 I'm not Igbo, but indigenous Lagosians must appreciate the Igbos for contributing immensely to the developments in Lagos. If all Igbos exit Lagos State today, if possible with their assets....Lagos state will revert to an era from colonial times. Same with Kaduna, Kano and other towns across Nigeria where they have been the major factors for rapid economic growth. 1 Like |

Nigerian baby politicians and their ego. Amaechi confessed he is scared to enter his State because of Wike. Is that the President Nigeria needs? While Tinubu was a deliberate and methodical politician, Osinbajo was drafted into politics. There is nothing in his nature that indicates he would not have happily remained a comfortable middle class lawyer had he not met Tinubu. Meanwhile Tinubu is a politicians Politician. A deliberate leader of leaders. He was a Senator in his late thirties. He was fighting Abacha in an organised fashion, through NADECO, at an age most Nigerians today are still trying to decide what they want to do with their lives. Amaechi, Osinbajo etal should drop ego and support Tinubu or they can get lost. How many battles have either won and what battle has Tinubu, who has faced more than most, lost? Some will mention Obi. The coward was pleading with OBJ on his knees yet still got impeached. Tinubu not only stood up to OBJ but totally retrenched Obasanjo's influence, through the PDP, from the SW. Nigerians are too petty and tribalistic. If not it will be obvious only Tinubu can weild power productively on behalf of the South today. Buhari did same.on behalf of the North because he is authoritative and as iconically supported as Tinubu is. Difference is that Tinubu is fairer, more tolerant, and more detribalised and more modern than Buhari. He will get more results than Buhari by far. We should not waste the turn of the South indulging weakling any section of the country would bully with ease as happened to GEJ. Are we not ashamed at how terrorised Nigeria is becoming because North does not want to grant Nigeria modern and more effective policing and security architecture? US, UK and European nations are evacuating their citizens from Abuja currently and we are still clowning around. The rescue mission belongs to Tinubu alone. I am tipping Tinubu to be an Awolowo of today. A father of the rebirth of Nigeria. He will never fail.Unless of course death stops him. |

DaddyFreeze2020:less than 34% of Nigerians have access to social media. On that note, the major electorate doesn't know what social media is Moreso, everyone knows your Obi is a known Twitter man and his supporters. Whereas, majority of them don't have PVC. This is a known fact Only poor igbos are clamouring for divisions. The rich ones amongst them can't dare it South East is a landlocked region and underdeveloped. No sane person will wish his/her life to look like south east especially Abia state whose kindred has sold their Destiny for a litre of kerosene and #500 for postnatal care Landlocked countries like chad, niger, Burkina Faso et al are all poor and underdeveloped just like south east Hunger will kill most of Ndi igbo if western governments chose to send them back to their region Go and read your bible or quoran. You'd see where it was stated clearly any state surrounded with water is blessed People are running to US, UK, Canada, Australia et al being that it's better than Nigeria Ndi igbo troops to south west simply because it's mile ahead their region in all strata What does a landlocked region have to survive with biko? |

NigeriaIsGreat: In Europe the landlocked countries are: Belarus, Hungary, Serbia, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Switzerland, Moldova, Macedonia, Luxembourg, Andorra, Liechtenstein, San Marino and Vatican City. In Asia: Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bhutan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Mongolia, Nepal, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. In Africa: Lesotho, Eswatini, Niger, Chad, Central African Republic, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Botswana, Malawi, Uganda, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Zambia, South Sudan, Zambia and Zimbabwe. From the above some landlocked countries are better than Nigeria which has access to the sea. Rwanda and Botswana in Africa are landlocked countries which are far ahead of Nigeria in terms of human capita and infrastructural development. South East Nigeria has access to the sea and is not landlocked. They have no developed ports yet. |
