Chai! I hope this is not true. The court should reach a conclusion on the matter. If he should be set free, let him be free. If he should be jailed, let the jail term start. Where are those sentimentalists who said the boy's age is the only case and that once the boy is proven to be an adult, the case will end? Even if Ekweremmadu is released today, the fact is he stayed way longer than the sentimentalists predicted. When I pointed out other things that can be held against Ekweremmadu, uncertified lawyers attacked me. But wait, this means he will not be a senator in 2023 because he is not around to contest now. Or can he contest and campaign from the hostage? Wait! How did his party conduct primary in his zone? Was the ticket given to someone else? If the case is handled in Nigeria, it will be assumed a political opponent bribes the court so as to replace him in the senate. 3 Likes |

Very good, if only this would serve as a lesson to some foolish leaders. If this had happened in Nigeria, the young boy and his family would have been the ones in rusty Nigerian prisons while the criminal will still be attending Senate meetings. Good riddance! 1 Like |
