The present decision by CBN to change the design of the naira note is a good decision but it might raise the exchange rate of Naira to dollar as most of the people hoarding this money might not want to take them to the bank.

So, the only way to ensure that they don't lose their money is to change them to dollars. And the rush for dollars will certainly raise the exchange rate. This will in turn cause inflation and increase hardship.
