Kali is a better player than Moses Simon. He can playbwing back. Can play as a right midfielder in a 442 and is more intelligent.
He is noylt just lucky with injuries.
I remember his performance away against South Africa. It was a masterclass at wing back.
Again I say he is underrated.
In fact I suspect he can play as a play maker in midfield as in the no 10 role.
If he stays injury free time will prove me right

Simon is better and plays in a higher league.even when they were in France together Simon had the better stats Kalu needs to step up from the championship before this comparison can be justified. The South Africa performance was like 4/5 years ago.

Joe Aribo FT Stats for Southampton on Saturday.

Crystal Palace 1-0 Southampton - EPL Matchday 14.

Played 90mins+ (CF/SS - in a two man attack, drifted to both wings too).
58 touches.
2 chances created.
1 big chance created.
33/38 accurate passes.
87% passing accuracy.
100% accurate long balls (2/2).
1 shot on target.
5/9 ground duels won.
1/5 aerial duels won.
5 recoveries.
100% tackles won (4/4).
2 clearances.
2 headed clearances.
Was fouled once.

*Aribo won the most tackles (4) in the game.

This is not just impressive, but rare.

From the above we can deduce the following:

Massive contributions to defense - Those stats are quite rare for an SS and or CF. This is incredible.
Creativity - Dude created two chances, one of which was a big chance. This is very good.
Passing - Dude recorded 100% accurate long balls. This is an improvement from the Aribo i used to know, that rarely attempts long balls even as a midfielder, even when he attempts it falls short of meeting the target.

Joe Aribo is the kind of forward that we need in S.E.

I agree... He needs to find his feet again... Being a bench warmer in the championship isn't really good for his development

South Africa is gradually replacing Nigeria as the dominant force in Female football on the continent and this thing dey pain me gan.

We've not defeated the bayana bayana in the last 5 meetings and sundowns have defeated the Nigerian champions 2 years in a row.

you are right about the annoying part especially on Simon. Simon plays on a single mode which is playing on a particular style till people begin to swear on him. When he is on a dribbling mode he dribbles so much that he forgets his assignment on the field and when he decides to stop dribbling he plays like those kick and rush English bred players used to play before foreign coaches started coming to england. It even seems almost all our wingers have a consistency problem. Chukwueze, Kalu, Simon, ejike and onyekuru. These one's problems is knowing when not to dribbles. Alhaji Musa's problem is mostly running ahead of the ball. God knows what kind of player he would have been if he had salah's type of control. Dennis is really that much a regular in the gwg and lookman looks decent. maybe it would be better if we move ahead from this wing based type of football. It's sad watching the team struggle when the opposition shuts down our wings. Hopefully pj will start something of that sort before he leaves
