If you can help it , avoid pools at home when you have kids . Especially If they are not trained in swimming , AVOID IT ! Pools are dangerous for adults who can swim talkless of kids

This is the problem with having unearned wealth without the common sense to go with it. In no way should a pool in a home not have a fence and gate, or pool cover… especially when kids have access to it.

Lol . I swim well and I have saved a friend ( who can swim quite well) twice from drowning . I understand what you mean . People just tend to underestimate water .

Swimming is nice when you respect the water . Kids should be taught how to swim at a very young age . My kids school has a pool and they teach them how to swim from as young as 2 years .

Pools at home is a status thing for us in naija . So most people don’t have or understand safety rules regarding pools . There are pool covers that can prevent even a puppy from falling into a pool . There are automated ones that covers it up whenever you are done . There are ones with sensors that alert people when someone enters the pool . And they are affordable for these celebrities

However it’s possible to have all the safety precautions and still an accident happens . God be with us all

Punch and Linda Ikeji and Even Instablog Naija have all confirmed the news of the boy's passing. This is too sad. So sad that I don't even know what to say.

It happened to Dbanj, unfortunately. GLB posted a video of David teaching the child how to swim for the first time a few days ago, so I'm guessing the child ventured out unsupervised to the pool to swim. You know kids and trying out new things, especially when it is fun.

A parent's worst nightmare.
