Unless you want to teach..or dont intend to depend on your certificate then honestly it's not worth it

Or you can go then use that one year in school to train your reading culture then prepare for jamb

It is. Combine it with marketing and do specialist courses on the side, micro financing , currency trading etc, and you will be good.

Only if you are brave and business-minded though. You must want to be a business man for it to be productive for you. Otherwise do something safe if you cannot handle pressure and cannot gamble or take risks.

Owning a thriving business in Nigeria today is the only employment that provides a happy and fulfilled life. Otherwise you will struggle doing most so-called professional jobs.

By the way, why are most young Nigerians I come across these days, like 7 out of 10, studying mass communication? A nation of mass communicators = nation of olodos IMO.

My dream profession is Business administration and I have the passion to counsel people about business but due to some issue I gats Business Education, wanted to take action but I was told that it is very similar to Business Administration infact with a slight edge.

Don't mind people who say that. The problem with Nigerians is they do not know how to.match theory with practical success.

That is why I wondered if you're business-minded. If you are, embrace the practical aspect of what you learn and start applying it early and you won't regret it.

For example theories of succesful markets trading are simple. You will learn early in any business study course that location and product matters.

Use those practically and you can even be making money and owning business presence before you finish your course.

Owning a business is the only guarantee of a decent life in Nigeria today aside politics or being a government contractor lol.

If you have a good foundation in the theories of business and can apply them aggressively then you will be successful. 100%.

The government promised to give 75k each semester to those pursuing educational courses..this alone won't allow allow me to rewrite and choose it,my aunt inclusive.

But bro, is the course truly similar with Bus Admin? I hope there won't be any future discrimination in the labour market. This is my fear

If you have a good grounding in business theory , and you can match that with practical discipline and hardwork, you can do a lot. Nigeria has one of the biggest markets in Africa. A lot of possibilities.

OP it's a nice course, don't mind those saying otherwise. Out of all the 9 department in faculty of education Bus education and library and information are the only 2 faculties with dual honors. So you are not only restricted to teaching as you can work in any sector with your certificate.

On your certificate it'd be clearer written BSC (Ed) meaning bachelor of science in education then followed by your area of speciality in bracket.

For area of speciality/specialization, there are 3 of them you can either specialize in any of: Accounting, OTM( office technology and management aka Secretarial studies) and CEM( cooperative economics and management).

If you are going for accounting route I'd advice you to add ICAN to it.
