Pallazzo: Hello bro, so I'm planning travelling to an European country for my Master's degree, but the financial aspect of it is something else. I just come across this thread, how is their business life like and how much do you think one can move there with that will be OK to start a business with? How is their cosmetics, make up or beauty business industry like? |

AllDModsAreMaad: If you have 1st class or 2.1, go for scholarship. Check out scholars4dev.com AllDModsAreMaad: Business is cool there but you have to consider that retailers buy on credit. The amount depends on the business. If you want to go into importing food stuffs, drinks, etc... 500k won't be bad. You just need to fond the correct people and understand the business before you start. Don't jump into it. AllDModsAreMaad: They like make-up but most of them don't have that huge amount Nigerians pay for make-up. I know hairs/weavon does well there, Nigerians already dominated that area. 2 Likes |

Zeel007: By road, 120k estimate for transport. I've posted air travel fare before. 90k for 6 months rent at 15k per month. This will be a room or if you're lucky, a room and parlor. Getting a teaching job in Sec Schools is a bit easier for Nigerians. The pay can be from 30k to 60k per month depending on school. You can also do study (home lesson). I know someone that makes more than 120k/month only on home lesson, while school pay him 50k. If you're into business, starting maybe hard because so many Nigerians, Senegalese and other foreigners are into business already. But with time, you can catch up and get going. 4 Likes |

Pallazzo:How is transportation business over there? Like Tricycles (Keke) brand of transportation... Do you think one can easily go into it there? Meanwhile, the 90k room, does it include toilet/bathroom and where to cook? |
Re: AMA: Ask Me Anything About The Gambia by Pallazzo: 10:41am On Oct 25, 2022 |
maiunguwar: Not any more. Nigerians were allowed before but later got banned. Only Gambians are now allowed. I'm sure Senegalese also operate, because both of them are almost same. JoeLohic: No. Nigerians are not allowed to go into transport in The Gambia. The rooms will contain bathroom and toilet and kitchen. Munachimso30: Business in The Gambia is a vast topic, narrow it down so I know how to answer. 1 Like 1 Share |

JoeLohic: Language. They speak more of their local language than English. Identifying Nigerians is easy for them as well. 1 Like 1 Share |

Pallazzo:Hi there! Insights. Are you into Travels and Tours business in the Gambia? How is the global inflation affecting the economy of Gambia right now? I'm sure you know that Ghana is also going through economic headwinds right now and they have many natural resources unlike Gambia. All the best. 1 Like 1 Share

Perfectman91: They don't have black market. A Dalasis (D, Gambian Currency) to USD is around D57. D57 is like #600. |
Re: AMA: Ask Me Anything About The Gambia by Pallazzo: 1:37pm On Oct 28, 2022 |
Munachimso30: For importation, import from Nigeria. Bitter kola, Long women dress, Bottle Stout, all these herbal drinks like Alomo and the types. Then export back home dried fish. For retailing, Cheap second clothes, shoes, bags, Nigerian food, car parts esp Mercedes as they use it for their taxi, motorcycle/bicycle parts. AlphaTaikun: Yes, I'm into Travel and Tours in The Gambia. The global economy affected almost all countries but not that bad in The Gambia like in Ghana. We had inflation but didn't hit bad. Thanks for dropping by. Firefox01:Their women are mostly black with hourglass shape... But not as neat as Nigerian girls. They have classic girls though, but the locals are more. You have to be careful with their women by the way, especially those 22yrs and below. It can be turned as rape or child abuse, one have to spend over half a million to pull out from that or spend many years in jail. 3 Likes 1 Share |

deraluv: From what I have seen so far on their page on facebook, they seem friendly and accommodating to people provided you are not even shady business. Gambia is a one city country in Africa. Banjul is the only city you can stay and make money. I doubt if their other cities provide all the basic amenities that an average Nigerian crave for. |
