The processing time is frustrating, you can’t speed up or expedite K1 petition as well you just have to keep on encouraging your fiancé to be patient and not lose interest or better still you guys should plan another trip while waiting coz at the end it will worth the wait.

You can also advice her to join some platforms where they talk about things like this so that she would know better and also hear from people who have been waiting for over a year so that she can stay positive.

In the last 6 months, it takes 14 months for uscis to complete the adjudication for approximately 80% of cases and some cases take more than that, each case is different so just use this analysis to guess how long your case will be processed.
The projection is, by next FY the processing time is expected to drop which will be a good thing.

In addition, you will still give like 5 months for embassy processing for you to appear for visa interview, it could be less or could be more depending on how fast the consulate request your approved petition from nvc plus interview date.

This is very complicated, if you file for K1 with this your status it is an outright denial and subject to like 10years ban for misrepresentation if not more sef.
Just file your application and claim divorce on your marital status then make sure you get a proper divorce decree whichever way you can get it coz you will need it for USCIS processing and your interview.
Have read stories of people who was only asked to show their divorce papers and not prove of previous marriage since the marriage no long exist and even if you’re asked to show prove of marriage there are tens of stories you can come up with to cover up for that.
You, telling the visa officer that it was your agent that filled out married for you instead of single doesn’t make sense coz there’s a space in your visa application that tells you to click that you can read and write and it is mandatory for you to input your name and that is to show that you signed your previous visa application which automatically make you responsible for all the information on it.
Don’t miss your chances you can do this.
Too late to open up now coz the denial will also attract ban bro.

Your only hope is to be honest with the visa officer during your next interview. Otherwise, you’ll have to produce proof of a marriage and a divorce since two applications were submitted with your status as married.
A K1 visa application with your info will bring up your previous applications and denials. If you falsify divorce documents your fiancée will also be forced to repeat the exact fraudulent information over and over for interviews so she’ll be lying to officials also. If you’re caught, you’ll receive a ban and your fiancée risks going to jail for her part. Presenting false information twice is what brought you to this jam to begin with, third time could be your downfall. My advice isn’t what you want to hear but it’s the truth.

In addition, the filing fee is $535, the fee and the petition should be mailed alongside supporting documents to Texas lockbox you will find the address on the link as well, they can download the form while she was here and fill it out together to avoid mistakes and make photocopies for your records, if anyone of them has been married before they should include their divorce decree or annulment, if there’s large age difference where the female is way older then front loading of evidences of genuine/bonafide relationship is advised but it should not be too much to enable the adjucator see other important documents.
They should take as many pictures as possible together, also with friends and families, letters of awareness from them as well and they should not get married here coz it will disqualify their petition and not even traditional marriage coz the embassy don’t joke with that.

But I will use spiral binding instead of stapling for easy access if you will have to separate an already stapled documents.
Better still, get a folder � called documents/file divider it is between 4,500-5000naira. With that you will be able to separate all your documents in one folder and label each line you wouldn’t even need staples or bindings.

I.e after K1 visa approval can prospective couples go for a muslim wedding there in the states?

Hi guys. I currently work with a company in the US (remotely) full time as a Data Analyst, but I also have a Nigerian company I consult with on a part time basis.

My fiancee is about to submit our application, but I wanted to know if I should include my remote job or just the Nigerian job as part of employment.

Would it hurt our chances if I state that I currently work with a company in the US?

Oh sorry for misinterpretation.
She can apply for Nigeria visa in one of the Nigeria consulate/embassy in the US, mines got hers from the Embassy in Washington and it was a smooth process and she can also use New York or Atlanta. She will have to submit some documentation as well, you can google their website you will see all that needs to be done and book an appointment.
Or you can settle for visa on arrival(it has procedures online too) plus there should be prior arrangements with an officer here to make it smooth coz den dey frustrate person for here o
Go to travel.state.gov and click on instructions for visiting Nigeria you will see other things that needs to be done including validity of passport, yellow fever vaccinations and more

I will include my remote job since it is legit or does not pose a threat to US government. Where you work does not have any impact on K1 as long as it is not illegal, as a matter of fact if you’re not working sef you can still process K1 and have it coz this processing is majorly on the petitioner (immigration benefit) but it is good to include your job so that it won’t look as if person dey try japa coz of hardship and others o.

Christian or Muslim wedding or recognition of weddings based on religious beliefs is not part of the procedures or things to submit to uscis when filing AOS after you arrive and get married in the US.
You can also confirm this yourself on adjustment of status step-by-step approach and as a land of the free they claim it is, you should be able to have your wedding based on your religious belief and you will be good. Your marriage license or certificate at the court house is more important here.

I went to alagbon this morning to demand for fingerprints to be attached to the new character certificate but it was so sad to be learn that it was an order from their so called oga not to print the finger out to be attached to the new one that was issued.

And this is the thing here, from all indications people have been attending interviews at the embassy with the PCC that has the fingerprints which seems like the consulate requested the one with the finger coz this new one was just introduced recently o.
The issue is why will you issue a police character without attaching fingerprints and you collected our fingerprints before capturing why.

So after so much talks and rants I later dance to their tune o and ask what I can do the guy said I will have to do another police character and this time it is manual not online and it will cost me 50k after spending 30k for this new one minus transport o, omo I just shock….my mind just skip like for real ? Why these guys are using the system against us just because person wan travel den make he spend all hin life savings na wa o.

I just vex comot there o, but before I left a lady met me there and she came for the same thing she said she has already submitted her own for uk visa processing and it was rejected and they told her to come for the manual one with the fingerprints and imagine if uk can reject it so it is beyond doubt that US will do the same. So this new one is not advisable oo.

For those that are yet to do or about to do their police character it is better for you to go there and tell them you want the manual for you not to end up doing two character. It seems the old one is more acceptable than the new one coz of the fingerprints and if you pay online for the new one you can’t covert the money to the manual and it is not refundable.

I sensed the game they’re playing, the fingerprints they collected for the new character can easily be printed out and attached to the certificate but they will not do that coz the money for the new one goes straight to government account but this manual now you have to pay to them directly so na logic wey den dey use.

Send an invitation letter to her, attached your data page to it and hotel reservation, she can apply for visa on arrival through Nigeria immigration portal. She can fly down, with the following documents, her approval letter from the immigration portal which will be sent to her email, payment confirmation slip, with the invitation and hotel reservation, then are her own country passport and return ticket

I have called US embassy and I also send email to them, it’s seems they don’t really understand the new clearance from their responses.
