APC government is so difficult to defend. By the way, I read somewhere maybe on this same thread that the Angola currency has been doing extremely well against the dollar because of the oil boom. First the excuse was that PDP had 16 years of oil boom. Lol... critical analysis of a Candidate's work history and current thought process are more important metrics to judge a candidate. There's nothing that was said in the speech he read that's exactly novel. What matters most is how he's performed in similar positions in the past and whether he's able to perform now, and this you can only know from engaging with their thought process and not speeches he wasn't involved in their preparation.

I've been trying to move money to Nigeria for a week an a half now with no success.

Because its a business deal and the sum.is substantial, I need it to be on the books with a full paper trail to the beneficiary Dom account.

Omo this shït is like passing kidney stones.

The bank wants me to move money through their corresponding bank in London to their recipient bank account with the intermediary, before they would credit beneficiary in GBP.

Only I finally found out this morning after a 3 way call between recipient bank manager, myself, my partner and my own Bank manager that CBN has stopped banks from.crediting forex into Dom accounts, particularly at such sums. Instead the bank manager was trying to get us to pay into their account and get credited in Naira...at CBN rate.

CBN has tightened every angle, and I'm sure that must be contributing significantly to the dramatic uptick in demand for forex.

I'm now half tempted to just book a flight to lagos this weekend and declare my cash. It'll be cheaper and probably less stressful than doing a simple bank transfer.
