Re: Peter Obi: I Will Change Northern Nigeria Through Agric by Nobody: 11:00am On Nov 05, 2022 |
shortIGBOman: Enugu has no drinking water because of it's topography due to the fact that it is in the center of Nigeria's coal bed region. Digging to get water required great care so that you don't strike a gas pocket containing coal bed methane and also even when you strike water you need to treat it well because due to the coal bed seams the water contains high level or Arsenic. The British when they built Enugu made use of the river in the outskirts of Enugu but as the state expanded this was no longer enough and hence the water issues. Even Johannesburg suffers occasional water shortage. Oga just take it easy when you want to lie. |

Keep deceiving yourself How can he develop something he has no control over. If we say power decentralisation so that regions can develop on there best, enemies of progress like you would still refuse. I just wish Peter Obi would be the head of government in the East. ATIKU in the North Then Tinubu in the West. shortIGBOman: |

There are may things the government can do if they want to. 1. Agreements can be reached with different companies to provide enough tractors for the Nigerian farmers.(according to him he said that Nigeria has less than 50 thousands tractors to compare to a state in India that has over 500,000 tractors. 2. Another effort can be made by establishing an accessible agricultural Banks that would provide young farmers with loans. (We have over 10,000 students graduating from faculties of agriculture yearly in Nigeria, how many them endsup in the agric sector?) 3. The ministry of agriculture can be reformed such that it would have it's own secretariat in all state, applying a mono agricultural farming in each state e.g plateau tea farm, benue rice estate etc There are many more to do and I'm not saying that this government is doing nothing but I can tell you authoritatively that they're not doing upto 20% of what they can do. Our next year's budget is close to 20 trillion naira. If 5 trillion can be allocated and managed well into the agric sector Nigeria would be the second largest Agric food economy in the would in a complete 8yrs of an uninterrupted progress. Being the *largest producer of eggs in Africa *Largest producer of coffee overtaking Ethiopia in Africa *Largest producer of fish in Africa by investing heavily on pond fish farming across the 36 states *Largest producer of rice, beans, tomato, corn, cassava etc With agriculture making upto 37% of our GDP of 5trillion dollars in the next 15- 17yrs. We can only start this race with Obi he's the only one that can set this roadmap for Nigeria. God bless Nigeria. christistruth01: |
