You need good crossers of the boy to have this guy function. For example, if Bassey is going to play LB then this is the guy to be upfront

There's always going to be arguments about who the better player is when it comes to the NBA, and this isn't limited to Giannis and Adejuwon, same exists for Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

I personally think in the absence of well defined metrics, individual conclusions always comes down to biases, the opportunity to have seen either of them play and a couple of other things.

While I wouldn't necessarily take a position , I will however point out an argument some persons posit when the Jordan-LeBron comes up. Some argue that Jordan was a better player among other things, because the level of competition at his time was way stronger than what LeBron had to face. We could apply same to the Giannis-Olajuwon conversation.

Lol Basco u not a hardcore Bball fan. wink I noticed from how u sum up this one.

Respects to Giannis but Hakeem "The Dream" is still gonna be "The man" even after Big G's career is over.

Danielnino00:

Talking about Giannis, do you think he can displace Hakeem Olajuwon as the greatest player of Nigerian origin to play in the NBA??

You could say Hakeem played in an era where there was enough room for players to invent new or better skills... Today, what we are seeing is mostly an improvement of the already existing skills.. Like Curry bursting into the scene and making the three point shot a big deal in the league..
What's more impressive about Giannis is that he keeps getting better every year... Previously,he was heavily criticized for his lack of strength, he hit the gym and built up muscles..Also criticized for his lack of skills, he is better at that now.. not to mention is improvement on the jump shot...

Giannis always had strength he didn’t have muscle mass boss

Mehn what in the world are u spewing. Hakeem being paid to teach handles? grin are u kidding me? Don't show ur hand like that abeg. Hakeem teaches post moves and not handles or shooting.

Without his size Hakeem would be a football player so what's ur point Are u saying Shaq would be an NBA point guard at 6'1 Why must Giannis apologise for his own size

Westbrook basically has the same style as Giannis.

You just contradict yourself bro
Westbrook copied Gianni’s Omo you don expose your hand finish grin

I love watching Hakeem. Giannis not really interesting to watch. Giannis might have a better legacy but the "Dream " played better basketball!

Where did I say Westbrook copied Giannis? Don't u dare change the subject grin U have already exposed ur self by saying Hakeem teaches dribbling and shooting. Any real basketball fan would have stopped taking you serious at the moment. That's like saying players pay Messi to learn how to head the ball. Sure he can head the ball pretty good but that is not something he specializes in.

I knew, but He was the naija goals lord in Belgium then, Yet He could not secure a Move away,

And That's what Paul is gradually turning to, With all his Goals, One would thing he would had leave Belgium a long time ago

1 His all round play is too poor. He cannot even make a simple pass, dribble, is not mobile, is not aggressive etc. He is simply too rigid and poor for some teams. That is why he is not in a better league. However some teams in the top 5 league can still buy him but he needs a good agent.

2 we need creative players and wide players who can cross for him to score for Nigeria. Thus is why I think our coaches are not good. Get midfielders and wingers who cross and then use Paul onuachu. But our coaches over time keep convincing me they are ignorant. They just call players up without any defined pattern or understanding of how the player will fit into the team

Correct, Your number Two is partly on Point, cos He needs your point raised in Number to function in number Two,

Not all Cross will be Aimed at his head, His poor footwork, will not help in low crosses

Have u considered his movement around yard 18box, his finishing....I would even say he trumps osimhen in dis aspect...he is also a clinical finisher,he would flourish well in a team dt possess a lot and gives him d final ball to score.

How can someone all round play be soo poor, yet he's banging goals left, right and centre??

I think the undiluted truth is..
..Nigerians don't rate him because of his age.
Nothing can convince me that a guy with such numbers isn't still good. Damn!!

Please dead this age talk... How old was Ighalo when he was leading the line for the super eagles?

Onuachu isn't mobile enough... You have to feed him chances to score..How creative is our team? Imagine having players like Simon and Ejuke that love to dribble flanking Onuachu..what kind of chances can they create for him?

Yes very possible, did you know Richard Owubokiri, he scored goals and was European highest goal scorer at a time but generally Owubokiri all round play damn too poor.He failed to make a career with eagles then Westerhoff preferred Yekini,Amokachie and Siasia.

He’s not mobile he’s not aggressive?

Are you high ? So he just stood there and wait for tapins ? He’ll walk to the defense and the opposite would give him a free pass ?

He can’t pass and he’s a professional?

What you would have said is that he’s an old fashioned big man striker of the old ways that’s a perimeter threat only inside the 18arc

Bro you make it sound as if them they give am free goals na

This is exactly why I’m very very angry with osimehn fanboys over here

I’n the under17 osimehn can run, dribble like a potential 5 star and and has the physical prowess to back it up.

Back then I would sho*t. Anybody that says mbappe is better than osimehn. Mbappe was thriving osimehn was thriving in his own way. My excuse was that he needed a good team then came Lille and osimehn was unstoppable, they were rumors psg wanted to build a project around him and mbappe. Nothing came out my obviously.

Osimehn can do it all, there’s nothing back in 2020 that I’ll say that mbappe is better than osimehn except that long range finishing and shot power.

Then osimehn make the big move to Napoli now a good to help him finally compete with his age mates.

All of a sudden osimehn starts playing like a traditional striker. No more finesse his dribbling vanished he’s no longer a ball hugger. Like he lost his identity. E they pain me die because they way i rated this guy and ihenacho one would think they would win World Cup by themselves

Onachu was the number 2 to Oshimen before his injuries and loss of form. He scored crucial goals for us. Benin republic away and another 2 against a team in Lagos. The transfer speculations got to his head in the latter part of last season.
He is back to his best, will get invite and score goals for us.
I bet most guys talking rubbish about Onachu here don't even watch him play at Genk.
