Hmmm kidnapping in USA ah bros dey lie small small

Well, if you are kidnapped in Nigeria, there is still hope for you that your family will see you alive again. But if you are kidnapped in USA, just forget it, you are coming out alive.
May be you should download "Hi Browser" on your phone to get daily news on killings and kidnappings in USA

So lately I have seen friends, families, colleagues at work, church members relocating abroad.
These people are "doing well" here in Nigeria.
Many of them resign from their high paying jobs, sells their properties and put up to like 25 - 40 million naira to relocate a family of say 5.
Is it really worth it?
Can't we make a good living here in Nigeria especially people with a good job here?
I need clarifications from those that have gone to enlighten me.
Stay there, all the rich people in NIgeria have thier kids living abroad, all politicians have thier kids living abroad.

Please explain. How is traveling an investment?
Imagine legitimately investing 15million here in 9ja. If we'll managed that could grow to something Huge in the nearest future.

What will be the real value of the N15m worth when dollar hve become N2000.

I've stated it here on numerous occasions that by the second year of the next administration, a Dollar will exchange for close to #2,000. Maybe by then, you'd understand what's fuelling the japa syndrome.

The country had been murdered from the inception, the funeral arrangements is what's currently ongoing.

Regardless people are still doing fine here in Nigeria.

It won't get that bad. The primary problem now is that Buhari fixes the exchange rate. He fixes at a strong rate that makes absolutely no economic sense.

By June 2023,Buhari would be gone and all 3 leading presidential aspirants have promised to make the Naira flexible again. This would make the Naira firm up and stop the free fall

They have also promised to end petrol subsidies and deregulate the price. This will put the Naira on a much firmer footing.

Sharrap, Nigeria is not nearing collapse,it's still one of the best countries on earth.

Nigerians in Canada and America are even complaining of not being able to build wealth.

Shootings and gun violence also happens in America and Canada.

Some Nigerians here have 24hrs power using inverters and solar.

Most Nigerians can easily build their houses while you niggas in canada and US will be paying for mortgages for several years.
Tell me more, please

Exactly! The average Nigerian isn't asking for too much. Give them stable light, good education, security, create an enabling environment for job creation. Finish.

These are the only things the average Nigerian is seeking. Yet, the government failed due to their wanton greed and corruption.

You got it, the problem is our leaders, both old and young, from Obasanjo to Tinubu to Atiku to Obi and the rest. Only if they can love this country with all their hearts, instead of stashing funds meant for developments abroad.

I knew where I started in 2015 and where I'm today with no tangible assistance from anyone or government. They should just provide basic amenities, stamp out corruption and provide little assistance to those who need support to grow

Oga, calm dowm

Different strokes for different folks.

I was never one to think of fleeing but when you can't even make a $20 payment with your debit card, you know there's a problem. Last year, I could not start an online business that could be getting eating me about $10,000 monthly because our cards were no longer compatible with PayPal..

Recently,i wanted to make a series of payments online for a business that would be generating me millions online but proved abortive. It was simply because I had no means to make a $75 paymemt online. This is a microcosm of why people are fleeing. If you can't even undertake the simplest of economic activity, how muchore bigger things.

The Naira is 840.i changes an d dollar bill on Thursday for 80, 000. If it was new, it would have been 83,000. The free fall of the Naira when the price is quite shows the level of economic incompetence of Buhari and Emefiele.

Apart from the economy, the level of kidnapping by Fulani is scary and they are very cruel. I am to travel to Ondo soon from Lagos and I am very worried.

Dude, never advice this group of people:
1-A random bad mannered swearing Nairalander about life abroad
2-A yahoo guy that yahoo is not good
3-A girl addicted to useless wayward boys.

Number 1 above is filled with resentment for anyone abroad. He would brag about how he is balling in 9ja and you are washing corpses abroad. Yet his foul words betray someone seriously unhappy with his life.

Around 10-15 years ago, some people in 9ja will just be saying how they just bought a new car, how they have everything in 9ja, how they blow their gen all night with AC and no need to travel broad or variations of it to say how well off in 9ja they are. I was wondering why say all this? I never told you anything about my life abroad, how good or bad it is compared to yours. Why do I need to know how well off you are?. shocked shocked

I just gradually withdrew from them so as not to say anything to annoy anyone.
Fast forward: In the last 5 years or so, same people are asking how they can relocate abroad, for their kids' sake, insecurity, bala, bla bla. shocked

Canada doesn't have a gun violence problem.

You don't know the meaning of MOST.
MOST Nigerians don't even have their own homes never mind building it 'easily'.

How is Nigeria nearing it's ruin to be honest? Gun violence and kidnapping happen in USA everyday. But you won't talk about that due to White worshipping..but you people wish bad things happen to Nigeria and her people everyday so you'll be able to justify your Japa and tell them "we warned you". Why can't you people Just accept the fact that not everyone want to come And live a lonely and boring life abroad Just because of 24hrs light which you pay for with your nose anyways , and McDonald Job of $1500 per month. The money you earn over there doesn't even find you that boost until you convert it to naira in your head just to validate yourself and say ",I'm earning more than a professor in Nigeria". This is a trend I see Among you people.

And you can call me broke because I live in Nigeria. Since you can't even know whether I'm more satisfied and contented with my life or not

Thanks

You have just come abroad. Things at abroad get better with time but it could take time . You can bring your family from home, you can finish paying your mortgage and even buy bigger house or additional houses, buy new and expensive cars. People abroad don't make noise about their wealth but I can tell you the rich guys are in abroad especially with the Naira falling in international market.

1. how many people are this lucky in Nigeria, only u dun corner 13 companies and possibly more in future. the point is that opportunities are scarce in Nigeria

2. Even If u make 20m a year in Nigeria currently and u want to send just 1 child to a University abroad......lets say u are lucky u see cheap school and tuition is not more than 15k per year(that's more than 50% of your whole income)....that's assuming your child will live in the sky and be eating grace of God.
You may want to say why should you send your kids abroad, well you dont want ur kids competing for what is scarce with the offsprings of Atiku, elrufai, Tinubus and co
there is PTDF scholarship ,Stem scholarships and if I want to sponsor his Master is will be in STEM courses .I will just buy 5m naira land now and sell in 10 year time to pay his Msc tution and living support .he not going to be wash plates ! They are tution free in Germany and Norway
