Peter Obi is more realistic in his solutions. He is pointing out that corruption starts from the top and unless the top changes, no matter the white elephants solutions these politicians give nothing will work. The funny part is that there is no political will to carry out those solutions.

He has stated that the basis for this election is trust. Trust for who will not steal. Trust for who is competent. Trust for who has character.

Gbam, this is why he is my choice....not because of tribe or it s Igbos turn kini kan, kini kan.....

Cut the fvcking cost of governance, reduce corruption to the nearest minimum in public office and civil service, the fact that he is one of ex governor not recieving benefits bust my head when I heard it....

Efcc and icpc never found zilch on him

More likely courting Dangote's influence (and probably his money) this campaign season, Dangote Refinery is private business, so not sure how the Nigerian government would feed fat from it.

The man literally pinned his economic policy on the Dangote refinery, and said that's avkey compnonent of how they intend battle oil theft and inflation

This beyond courting Dangote's influence. You heard Dangote's voice through Okowa's broken teeth

As a current serving governor, Okowa is yet to mention any achievement he has on his state.

He did nothing....he got 2nd term cos just like river state,APC always have internal issue and Ibori influence very strong in that state...

Surveillance is different from protection though and you can't say he wasn't aware of such in his state. They're also to speak from their track records and antecedents on related issues not just to make bogus claims especially when the problem as stated is evident in his state.

Awareness doesn't automatically translate to responsibility.

He is aware, but that doesn't mean he should be responsible for it.

You can't count that against him when it is obviously not his job or business.

Federal roads are bad in many states including the one you're residing in. Do you blame your state governor for not fixing it, when it isn't his responsibility in the first place?

Both APC and PDP are money laundering entities. I for one cannot support any candidate that bribed delegates to obtain their party tickets. That's a huge red flag for corruption.

The lady that asked a question now about how each presidential candidate would tackle the problem of flood affecting Rice farming asked an intelligent question.

Then, about audience engagement, it's almost an all-men affair. Women weren't given enough chance to present their questions.

Arise TV needs to improve on this aspect.

He's aware but what efforts has he made concerning it. That is my issue, did he call the FG to inform them and FG did nothing? This is what I mean by antecedents not just making bogus promises.

Are you serious now?

An underwater pipeline was installed for 9 years, and you think the facility didn't know about it?

Do you know how long it takes to fill that water tanker?

Do you know that our waterways are being patrolled by men of the JTF and Navy every now and then?

Do you even know that installing that pipeline would show a significant drop in bpd and pressure data would point it out?

All these happened for 9 years, and you believe the FG didn't know, and Okowa should have told them?
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by nihilistjnr: 11:18pm On Nov 06, 2022
Okowa feels we're stronger together, and feels its important to engage agitators in dialogue.

In terms of power, we need to liberalise the energy sector, and ensure that it is led by the private sector, with an enabling environment setup by the government

Okowa's teeth are distracting me from.thr sense he's making...and he is making a lot of sense

The crowd applauds.
Obi feels that the Nigerian economy is well diversified l. Oil contributes only 10 percent of gdp but represents 50% of government revenue, and 80% of government forex.

Agriculture actually contributes more to GDP. Obi says we need to bump up production in Agriculture and improve exports. OK this man js spitting. I'm feeling this.

How do we ramp up production though? No answer.

Obi says women and youth will be the engine of our government.

We will deal with power and production control aggressively. How though?

He doesn't say.

Obi js willing to dialog with any agitator. Dialogue is normal. Agitation is normal. We will speak with everybody and ensure amicable resolution. You sure about that chief?

He will deal aggressively with the transmission of electricity. How though? He mentions captive power and renewable energy.

He declares a war on power. I kinda like this talk sha.

He agrees with Okowa's actions on flood control. He feels that dredging river Niger and Benue. He might build a Dam. He feels that if Egypt can deal with the Nile, we can deal with it too.

What this country needs is people who can create wealth. He's a wealth creator.

See how much Buhari's clueless government paid a UNILAG senior lecturer as October salary, yet people are still campaigning for APC and blaming ASUU for embarking on strike.

Why should a governor have to call the attention of FG to facilities in their state ? Does FG not have ministers appointed whose job is to oversee MDA’s under them ?

Buhari is Nigeria’s minister for petroleum , the oil pipelines being vandalized are assets under the supervision of his ministry . U can’t pin that responsibility to any state government .
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 11:20pm On Nov 06, 2022
I would because unlike Atiku that sent his vice, Tinubu has shunned opportunities for us to engage with his thought process, and the few times he tried it was a disaster.

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Spy360(m): 11:23pm On Nov 06, 2022
On economic restructuring Okowa said there's need to diversify the economy. That's an age long answer that PDP has used to deceive Nigerians. Peter Obi however countered by saying that the economy is already diversified as oil revenue only accounts for 10% of our GDP. The issue according to him is making the diversified areas more productive, like agriculture that accounts for over 40%.

You miss the point I'm trying to make. PO and Kwankwaso always refer to there time as Governors and what they did concerning issues and topics raised. Okowa knowing of such illegal activity going on his state and publicly condemning and calling the attention of FG would have made those bogus claims he's making more believable.

People don’t wear wedding band for different reasons . My former colleague used to have ladies practically toast him (cos him na fine boy and things soft for him background normally ) ; even when he tells them he’s married with two kids they don’t believe.

I asked him why he doesn’t wear his wedding band to save him from all those shalaye every time ( since he no really dey game ); he said it’s because his ring finger has grown fatter than when he just got married , so the ring won’t even enter his finger again. It was that simple.
