I expect Shettima to attend next TV Debate on any Channel henceforth. Also I'll be glad to see the major 4 attend at least one together - to be organised by all major TV Stations possibly (Mother of all Debates).

I expect a candidate to do whatever it takes to win elections and not just go on TV for a show

How many people voted for Fela Durotoye Moughalu on the strength on their debate

The 2 presidential candidates who didn't attend today will still finish 1st and 2nd next February

Those who attended will be awarded certificate of debate

Common, everything ain't agenda and izzou was spot on.

Everything will always make sense to a man who uses 100% emotions and 0% logic

That's what i wanted Ellexy to see, but he is well within his rights to hold on to his opinion.

At least dayo is no longer pretending to care about Nigeria's well being. The mask is off. grin grin

He's now embracing his wicked personality full time..

Bragging to our faces how Buhari failed to debate and address Nigerians and how Tinubu will follow in that footstep despite Buhari already proving how it portends failure to not address people you seek their votes.

Wicked souls

In the US Arizona gubernatorial election. The democratic candidate Katie Hobbs has refused to attend any debate with the Republican candidate

Millions will still vote for her and she has a decent chance of winning

DonJ is taking it too far. It's easier said than done. Nigeria is too complex to fix in four/eight years.... that's a fact.

We ain't Kids anymore and we have listened to many electoral promises that end in Sewage. None of major Contestants is a Saint or so certain to fix the Country with perhaps magic wand.

We are simply all gambling with our respective choices. If I do not support your Candidate, it doesn't mean I hate him or do not want a progressive Nigeria.

If I critique your Candidate, it doesn't mean I am trying to demarket him. Don J should quit being too emotional coz the Election will come and go as usual and this Board would remain.

1999 Obasanjo refused to debate and won
2011 Jonathan refused to debate and won
2015 Buhari refused to debate and won

Question is do you want to debate or do you want to win?

The funniest part is that I am not even supporting Okowa.

I am just stating a fact. You cannot hold a state governor responsible for something the FG should be in charge of.

He naturally doesn't apply logic, so I'll be surprised if he does

If we go by your logic, our lives have been worse since they all won without debating.

The person who should be using this stat is Seyi Tinubu and McOluomo, not the man that bought diesel at 790 per litre today

Surely Tinubu has to somehow regret not appearing, this was a massive PR opportunity.

I'm sure kwankwaso would have gained a few fans today. Even before today, I've barely heard okowa speak and I can tell you that people especially southerners who were leaning towards PDP would gather conviction from this.

I mean the less said about impact for Obi the better. His massive online army will amplify all his positive talking points. There are already 4 different trending hashtags on twitter right now in favour of Obi with 1 against the yellow teeth stained...

This was a massive PR success for all candidates.
Emilokan don score own goal give himself handicap untop

If you know that then what's the point of the show? Do you want to win election or win debate

Why should Shettima attend on BAT's behalf?

..... because they both own the Ticket. BAT is busy touring rounds and resolidifying his Structures in the North.

You and I know Debates don't win Election in Nigeria. If it does, Ademola Adeleke would come distant 4th in Osun Gubernatorial Poll.

Permutations, Alignments win Election in this Country. How many Nigerians have access to cable TV? How many Nigerians saw this Evening Debate?

Ask Mama Alata at Grocery yard near you what happened on AriseTV tomorrow, and you ain't gonna get any Answer.

I bet even young Ladies that have access to Cable TV were possibly seeing series on Zeeworld.

Young men? Probably watching a Replay, playing PS or possibly flexing at Clubs at that time of Debate.

In short, Debate has zero value on Electorates in Nigeria.

A person wants to rule over 150 million people and u think that person doesn’t need to debate his plans on how to better the lives of those people ? Like Nigeria is on the brink of collapse and u think we should vote based on whatever promise they may have written down on paper and signboards ?

I am not the one contesting

The family that skipped today live on Bourdillon road, Ikoyi, and yes they want to win. They probably are happy their dad didn't show up tonight.

But the common man wanted to know his plan for him. Sadly, he didn't show up.

Like i said, your stats is for Remi and Seyi. It has no business with anybody here

This is exactly how Buhari played out and today, everybody is lamenting.

BAT is better than everybody, yet he cannot come on a platform and annihilate his opponents to the educated ones like us?

Lol

You and I are educated, and to be honest, there are points we shouldn't even be defending.

Its surprising when i see defences like these sha

Question are you interested in winning election or debate?

If you are interested in winning election then you should be reaching out to the voters abi?

Let me interest you in some stats that might not be 100% correct

How many of Nigerian voting population speak and understand the type of English spoken tonight

How many of the Nigerian voting population understand deep policy proclamations made today

How many of the real voters have electricity and access to Arise TV

How many of those voters are even undecided and open minded to ideas being shared

Basically the only person's that would make a decision based on tonight's debate is
an undecided voter
who understand educated English not just pidgin,
who has electricity either by NEPA or generator.
Who was watching TV tonight and not doing other things
Who was watching Arise TV in particular
And fully understand policies being discussed

I can tell you the number of such people fit no reach 2000 in the entire population

That's an insignificant number to the total voting number
