A person wants to rule over 150 million people and u think that person doesn’t need to debate his plans on how to better the lives of those people ? Like Nigeria is on the brink of collapse and u think we should vote based on whatever promise they may have written down on paper and signboards ?

Omo! It is well

If you are interested in winning election then you should be reaching out to the voters abi?

Let me interest you in some stats that might not be 100% correct

How many of Nigerian voting population speak and understand the type of English spoken tonight

How many of the Nigerian voting population understand deep policy proclamations made today

How many of the real voters have electricity and access to Arise TV

How many of those voters are even undecided and open minded to ideas being shared

Basically the only person's that would make a decision based on tonight's debate is
an undecided voter
who understand educated English not just pidgin,
who has electricity either by NEPA or generator.
Who was watching TV tonight and not doing other things
Who was watching Arise TV in particular
And fully understand policies being discussed

I can tell you the number of such people fit no reach 2000 in the entire population

That's an insignificant number to the total voting number

Debates in Nigeria are for the likes of Fela Durotoye to show their oratory skills

I am not the one contesting

The family that skipped today live on Bourdillon road, Ikoyi, and yes they want to win. They probably are happy their dad didn't show up tonight.

But the common man wanted to know his plan for him. Sadly, he didn't show up.

Like i said, your stats is for Remi and Seyi. It has no business with anybody here

Which of the common men?
How many of the common men understand what they are discussing tonight and will make a decision based on it

That's assuming they have electricity and are tuned to AriseTV tonight.

It's simply labor in vain

BAT is better than everybody, yet he cannot come on a platform and annihilate his opponents to the educated ones like us?

Lol

You and I are educated, and to be honest, there are points we shouldn't even be defending.

Its surprising when i see defences like these sha

Brother.... this is not defence rather Reality from logical point of view. I personally want him attending debates, but seems he's more concerned widening his coverage than spending time on Air addressing Nigerians that probably won't even turn up at the poll.

I will be glad to at least have Shettima representing him. I will be more glad if he attends at least Channels Debate personally.

Yeah I know...perhaps he is now saying debate is not that important and someone had to dig that up

I keep saying that these people are evil.

In 2015, people warned us that Buhari was a terrible communicator and that he was clueless. We said we don't want someone that talks, we want someone that acts.

8 years later,. Talk we no hear, action we no see and the people that propped him up are doing the exact same thing ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE IS A LEGITIMATE CONCERN OF THE CANDIDATE'S MENTAL ACUITY AND HEALTH STATUS.

I mean there is genuine belief that Tinubu is suffering from early signs of Parkinsons. We've seen the hand tremors, the slurring of speeches, the weak footsteps, the blanking out in speeches. We've seen the candidate himself go all out to give proof of life and fitness.

Only a fool wouldn't want to see this candidate of the ruling party subject himself to rigorous questioning qnd exercise like we've just seen.

Buhari avoided debates. Osibanjo was excellent.
Today, Nigeria is clutching at straws, and PYO is still VP

BAT is avoiding debates. Shettima is thrilling us with promises an end to insecurity in 6 months

U are so much detached from reality in Nigeria . It doesn’t even cost more than ₦2,000 to watch Gotv monthly and Gotv has AriseTv showing on their bouquet. Even pensioners can afford it.

We are in 2022 not in 1999 or 2003 during the time of OBJ. We are not asking too much when we demand the presidential candidates speak to us about their plans , they are not going to rule over the few people that congregate their town hall meetings , they are going to lead us all. That was how we felt Buhari doesn’t need to debate , till we started begging him to even speak to us through media chats.

Captain of industries are those who move the economy those who employ the vast majority of people.

They are not waiting for AriseTV debates they know what they want to hear from each of the candidates

The ease of doing business the friendliness to business how you secure their interest

Everyone of them wants Subsidy gone. Are we really ready for it? Izzou just complained of Fuel being sold at 300 naira per Litre now.

I believe we'll pay more if subsidy is removed completely.

I don't think there's any campaign in this election cycle that will have over 100K person's in attendance, not to mention those that were following on Twitter, Facebook and on arise TV itself. I'm sure we could have had close to 250K person's following that debate, directly and indirectly.

No need beating around the bush, Tinubu wants to win, attending debates will most likely be him demarketing himself cause of his many health and psychological issues. Therefore attending debates isn't strategic.

If osinbajo had resigned 2years or first tenure sef when he discovered his hands were tied and nothing good was coming out of buhari 's admin..then joined a populist party to build a 3rd force from 2019 like obi is doing now, align/merge with obi for 2023,hmmm...

osibanjo workrate pre2015 was just like Obi's,entering danfos, brt, giving talks everywhere to induce voters, most joined the buhari ship cos of him

South and northcentral would've been in the bag,no one would be calling yorubas voting osibanjo an omo-ale or hold him to buhari's failures....

kwankwanso, tinubu and atiku would be sharing the underage almajiris illiterate core north who can be induced with money and vote buying....

Where I work, I know 4 different people that have PVC’s , don’t know who to vote for yet out of the 4 most popular candidates and they will most likely watch the AriseTv (if they are chanced). These people have spouses (who I don’t know about their voting decisions )

That was why I said ur opinion is based on a false sense of conviction. U believe almost everyone is neck deep in this APC vs PDP/ OBIdient-BAT-Atikulated stuff and will vote solely on whatever anybody writes on paper or campaign posters. Some people just want the country to at least be better than buhari met it.

One of the 4 people I mentioned earlier has 2 kids in a public university; she’s been apprehensive ever since the issue of Ngige ordering that only half of October salary should be paid to University lecturers. Like she had to put in time to make sure the kids don’t fall into depression having stayed home for almost 8 months .Do u think such person will just vote a candidate because he’s Yoruba , Igbo or Hausa ? Do u think such person wouldn’t be interested in hearing propositions of how the incoming president will find a lasting solution to the ASUU issue ?

These are real life issues affecting the lives of people on a daily. We saw how Buhari didn’t even engage anybody at the debates . Tinubu did all the talking at the rallies promising end to ASUU strike and even promising student loans; we all know how it is going now .

Osinabjo is not a politician , he would’ve lost scandalously if he did. The primaries should tell u something ; na politicians sabi run politics well well .

Did u not notice how he was called traitor by his own party members just because he chose to pursue his ambition ? If he had joined another party and run against Buhari in 2019
What name do u think they will call him ?

Osinbajo is a technocrat that found his way to the corridors on power based on recommendations , he’s no politician and he will always be trounced by career politicians . Nigeria is not Liberia where someone like George Weah can just contest election and win; if someone like Okocha decides to contest for president today , u will be surprised how the same Nigerians u watch and Celebrate Okocha together will speak ill of him just to demarket him.

Nihilistjnr has been telling us that all of them promised to remove subsidy so how do you differentiate from 4 people who promised to remove subsidy

Buhari promised to remove it Jonathan promised to remove it probably OBJ promised too. 22yrs later we have subsidy in place and another 4 people promising what the past 4 presidents promised to do.

So which of the 4 potential subsidy removals will you vote for?

On insecurity will you see anyone who will say he won't battle insecurity? All past 4 president Said the same thing too
