Any history between them?

The owner of AriseTV is confirmed PDP man and their bias is always obvious.

They dont have any known bad blood but it makes no sense to increase the rating of an opposition tv station when you have your own tv station.

Most Tinubu engagements are covered by TVC.

I don't know what some people that are intelligent and supposed to be enlightened and exposed would gain from watching their fellow humans suffer.

The human species can be strange sometimes. One would expect more from the species at the topmost echelon of nature's food chain.
What do you expect? Human beings care about themselves and Families..... Those guys care Less For Nigeria and dont want the Country to progress Simply because they are enjoying Life In good Nations!

He has not honoured any himself.

This is coming from the man that other candidates cannot even lace his shoes

He will honor the ones he want to honor.

He will control his own narratives himself and not have a hostile station do it for him.

Today, BAT will be meeting with farmers and agro-commodity groups in Niger State.

Debate is to massage the ego of elites that are likely not going to vote or have made up their minds.
A former president of America said I can shoot someone on 5th Avenue and not lose any vote.

There is no nonsense these wicked people wouldn't say to justify their wickedness.

Just read that first line of his again, "debate is to massage the ego of elites that are likely not going to vote or have made up their minds".

This is a statement that is as stupid as can be. First of all, American presidential candidates have ALWAYS held debates. There has never been a federal election in the last 70 years where the presidential candidates didn't debate themselves.
And these debates usually serve as a metric for many undecided to gain conviction of their support for a candidate or even lose that support.
There are Soo much undecided voters out there. At a point many of us here were undecided before we looked at a host of factors and decided on who we support for the elections.

Just on this thread, it's not been too long ago, aoo1 was rebuffed by the mania around Obi, today he's become a strong follower, likewise treblechamp, likewise ihebu4chelsea. In the same vein you also have izzou who have backtracked on his support for Obi because he loves to delude himself as a fencist as if he's unaffected by the consequence.

To say debates don't matter in a bid to defend your master not coming for one is the height of delusion.

Na myself I blame for replying you but I hope people can see through your wickedness.

Walahi these APC people are wicked and shameless..

Just look at all the stupid points they're churning out to defend their sick drug baron.

There is only one fact after today. There are many sane minds who were leaning towards Tinubu who have definitely backtracked on that support. One can only defy his sanity for Soo long. There are some posts on twitter where some Batists are renouncing their support. You can't fight your conscience for Soo long.

One thing I should be appraised for is the consistency of my message. I wrote this 4 months ago and people are just seeing it now.

donjazet:

I implore you to leave these people abroad to their devices.
Both of us are here in Nigeria and care very much about our country and the future of our country and our children unborn.

Those abroad have clearly told us that nothing will ever work. That we should stop hoping on Nigeria.

To them we are just numbers on a board. Political numbers for addition and subtraction just for their viewing pleasure and attention. They don't care about us here so just leave them out of it.

Whatever opinion they have doesn't come from a place of care, concern or apprehension but from selfish indulgences and viewing pleasure. It's all a game for them.
Pay no heed to them.

Always consistent!!
donjazet:

When these particular people abroad tell you plainly, NIGERIA WILL NEVER WORK! That, in and of itself is an indictment of their mentality.

Listen bro, when both of us discuss or argue politics, it's very different from us arguing football because we recognize we are talking about issues that affect our lives directly. We are arguing who is the best leader to position that would enact favorable economic policies, policies that would assuage the effects of inflation, policies that would enable the revival of industries that would create better employment opportunities.
Policies that would enable increasing our power supply. All of us desperately want to start having steady power supply, just like South Africa, Egypt, Ghana etc.
When we argue politics, we are talking about our very own lives.

It's definitely a different feel for those who are far detached from this reality and these people who look down terribly on those still in their motherland.

DonJ is taking it too far. It's easier said than done. Nigeria is too complex to fix in four/eight years.... that's a fact.

We ain't Kids anymore and we have listened to many electoral promises that end in Sewage. None of major Contestants is a Saint or so certain to fix the Country with perhaps magic wand.

We are simply all gambling with our respective choices. If I do not support your Candidate, it doesn't mean I hate him or do not want a progressive Nigeria.

If I critique your Candidate, it doesn't mean I am trying to demarket him. Don J should quit being too emotional coz the Election will come and go as usual and this Board would remain.

All what you said makes sense to people without diagnosis.

Even though I don't like the idea of candidates deliberately ignoring debates I feel Tinubu shunning Arise TVs gathering was the right call. Why go to hostile territory where you will be maligned at every turn? It would have been like Obama during his presidency attending a town hall meeting organized by Fox News.

BAT will eventually have to go for one major debate whether he likes it or not.

Who I pity most in all this is Seyi Makinde, he's taking a big risk with this their G-5 thing by aligning with governors that are done with their second term like Wike, Ikpeazu, Ortom and Ugwuanyi. Those guys don't have anything to lose if their misadventure doesn't end well dem Amaechi that year.

Seyi Makinde is not sure of re-election yet; I saw a video of one of his supporters lamenting how Seyi has abandoned them. The guy was talking in his parlor and expressing his anger with Seyi Makinde to his friends. Then there's APC with Teslim Folarin breathing down his neck in his state. I just hope he's not being overconfident jumping up and down with Wike when he should be mending fences in his own state.

Nigeria is too complex to fix for 4 and 8years but yes let's vote in liabilities, sick presidents who goes on medical tour every two months, vote in corrupt people who wouldn't cut the cost of governance or jail corrupt politicians and civil servants....

The thing with the abroad guys making all this reckless statements is they are happy with the situations of things back home in Nigeria especially the economy and exchange rate...So they can come back home to oppress and plan for their retirement...

Another trader told me the previous government stopped them from selling by the roadside and seyi gave them that freedom again and that they can't gamble with other candidates.

Those who are Civil servants told me he pays them on time before the month ends.

Ibime, please I need your expertise here.

Incoming president Peter Obi Yesterday taught us something that many did not know, for long Nigerians have been saying that our economy was not diversified since we majorly depended on oil.

But he dismantled that point by saying that our economy is actually diversified but not productive enough.

That oil is just 15% of our economy while agriculture, manufacturing, ICT and financial services make up the rest. Please how true is this and can you shed more light on this?

I hope u know Ibadan is just one part of Oyo State (Just like let's say how Ikeja is to Lagos)... You have other parts of Oyo State like dem Ogbomosho, Oke-Ogun, Iseyin, igboora, etc. Until u sample the opinions of people in those aforementioned places, u shouldn't be too sure o.

Sad but true presidential debates in Nigeria are overrated in the sense like you said don't change the opinion of a vast majority of voters. Agbaje flogged Ambode and even Fashola (2007) in debates yet he still lost.

The day debates decide outcomes of elections in Nigeria you won't even need to write to beg candidates to attend they will literally come running to you.

Those debates wey dem do how e take help

1999 Obasanjo refused to debate and won
2011 Jonathan refused to debate and won

You're right tho, seyi only made corrections to Ajimobi errors, he paid salaries in full and in due time, pensioners ain't left out Ajimobi plainly told pensioners to goan die,..but for traders on the road side, I believe it wasn't good enough for them to be left out by Makinde

I understand the limitations of my small poll but I found it odd that not a single person I asked said he was voting against him. Let's even leave that. There's also another angle I'm considering . You know Makinde will most likely throw his weight behind Tinubu for the presidential election. Tinubu has to scratch his back. I even believe some deals are being struck right now.

That's the problem, if he's already not in good terms with his own party members within the state they may work against him while he's busy jumping length and breadth of the country with their G-5 gang.
