A001:What are the alternatives you're proposing? Still former members of PDP and APC...Please make it make sense... APC and PDP are just platforms, it's the politicians who are bad and we have seen those politicians switch places countless times...If your gospel was about politicians like Sowore, Moghalu and others who are not part of the old guard then it'd give credence to your argument... You can't finger the politicians in the APC and PDP yet want us to support those who were previously part of the platforms you're demonizing... 3 Likes 1 Share |

Donjazet2:Whatever you feel about Otem or his book or me is your problem to deal with. You can add it to your list of problems in life. I support good books of history and philosophy wherever I see them, and Otem's book is one of such. If my support gives you a headache and you see it mischievously as a religion, then that's your folly, which is none of my concern. Whether you like it or not, I'll always support a good book of history so long it advocates science and philosophy over religion. I don't know how a person can sound so foolish, calling a book author (a Kogi guy) a deity. If you need the book, you may look for the author's email on Nairaland and request it. He may send it to you. He hardly replies emails anyways. |

DissTroy: News this morning: "Gov. Udom Emmanuel May Resign As Atiku's DG Over Lack Of Funds " https://www.nairaland.com/7422789/udom-may-resign-atikus-pcc When people in the know of things take time to explain to you, you have two options: 1. Accept, or; 2. Kept typing out your wild imaginations to sooth yourself on the pages of Nairaland. We stated months ago that Tinubu and Atiku campaigns would flops in these areas and all support would go to Obi. We insisted government officials are in on it too. You argued. Over the subsequent months, we are being proven right one and a thousand times over. 2 Likes |

patrickmuf: Mr man, Obi did not hold ANY elective position in the PDP!! This means that he really didn't need to compromise his integrity in many ways. Ojukwu picked him to run as governor in Anambra. He was rigged out and fought for his mandate, he went in there and blocked leakages for government officials to steal money from government. Then PDP wooed him to the party after seeing his wonderful economic management of his state and immediately gave him various economic federal appointment upon his defection and then atiku picked him to be his vice for the purpose of balancing his ticket regionally and bringing in his economic acumen. Obi wasn't in the PDP for long, so you can't really call him a product of PDP. He was there for only 5 years. 7 Likes |

DissTroy: Everyone knows the entire SS is for labour party. The battle ground this election is the middle belt.. You've just heard one governor speak soon badly against Fulani people. And ortoms outburst wasn't even channeled against atiku alone. He said "to hell with any Fulani man". After the herders crises, the middle belt people now have a phobia for the northern oligarchy. And I don't see them being receptive to the APC. I'm feeling that Obi would win the Middle belt but let's be watching. 4 Likes |

patrickmuf:This logic will always be flawed. You can be in a system but not part of the rot in the system. You can be in a system to understudy and learn how not to lead and do things when you get a chance at leading. That you're a Nigerian does not mean you're corrupt as hell. Moses had 40yrs of training in the house of Pharoah. No be beans. |

DissTroy: Again, the only reason Atiku got the number of votes he got in the South South and South East in 2019 was because Peter Obi was on the ballot. The quote is my post stating the reasons I joined the Atiku/Obi campaign on January 30, 2019. Same for millions from these areas who joined the campaign. It was always about Peter Obi. It was always about his antecedence as governor and some of us have been consistent in over beliefs. 3 Likes |

Amoto94:Supporting Peter Obi doesn't mean joining a cult where we must agree on non-political issues. Asides SEO value, what you post here has little impact. The real impact is getting people to vote and influencing at a high level. A01 guy is a Peter Obi supporter like myself. Politics. That I agree. He's stating unfounded concoctions and passing them off as existential truths, and scientific truths too. I think he's crazy. But regardless of what we all think his mental state is on religious issues, he's saner and more humane than you Amoto94 who defended the murder of Deborah Samuel on some alleged blasphemous claims. Evidence which I have posted a thousand times on this and the Chelsea thread. You are more of a threat to any civilized society than he'd ever be. 14 Likes |

Ellexy:So, what's the basis for saying Tinubu, Atiku and the likes are corrupt? Their supporters can argue that they're not part of the rot in the system... You guys make a lot of excuses for Obi but not for others, why? Obi was part of GEJ's government abd was running mate to Atiku thus it can be implied that Obi found Atiku worthy to lead Nigeria abd you all who supported Atiku in 2019 thought same, some 3 years later, what changed? Why not Atiku? 2 Likes |

BlueRayDick: Ahh Ok I see where the problem is. Firstly let me start by addressing your fist misconception in the bolded - There was NEVER indirect rule in the south The 1861 Treaty of Cession of Lagos which deposed Kosoko and enthroned Kosoko as the Oba of Lagos, also firmly established Lagos as a dominion of the Queen, and more crucially subject to English Law. The very first British court in Nigeria was established almost Immediately after in 1863 - The Supreme Court -which administered the laws of England in Lagos. Following the success in Lagos, the British used the same playbook in the hinterland. Alaafin Adeyemi signed the treaty making Yoruba's British subjects in 1888, in 1889 Nana Olomu signed Itsekiri land away with the treaty of Abraka, Oba Ovonrwamwen signed Benin away in 1892, same year Awujale signed Ijebu Ode away. Anybody king that refused to play ball was quickly exiled and replaced - e.g Ovororamwen, Jaja Opobo and King Pepple before him, Nana of Iskeri, Aforementioned Dosunmu, etc. In Igboland, they didnt have kings or empires, so the British invented a title called Warrant Chiefs and started appointing niggas as basically prefects to work for the Colonial administration under English law. To bolster this new invention, the British created 'Native' Courts in 1901 which were subject to the British High Commisioner. By the time Lugard conquered Kano in 1906, Lagos had been directly subject to British law for alomost 50 years, and the Yoruba had been British subjects for nearly 20. This is very different to what happened in the North. Lugard did not setup any court in Nothern Nigeria, and deliberately preserved the Sharia system there. He refused to interfere in how the Northerners administered their affairs. He was a staunch adversary of independence, and is on record saying that “If unrest and desire for independence exists,”it is because the natives have been taught the value of freedom and independence, which for centuries they had not known.” He created Nigerian Legislative Council in 1914 which could legislate on all matters for the South, but can only legislate on matters pertaining to money and budgeting for the north. Till today, you cannot appeal any Sharia ruling outside the Sharia court system in Nigeria. That's by design. That's by constitution. This is why Sharia law was written into our English based constitution in 1960. That was Lugard's legacy in the North. 5 Likes 2 Shares |
