Most people are still taken in with the false stereotype that bolt driving is one goldmine, it is not.

For me a job does more than paying a salary. A job can be used as a stepping stone to a greater opportunity. A few years ago someone reached out to me about a UN interview she had while looking for a job in UK. She had just graduated from a masters program. A month later I followed up and asked her how the job hunt was going. She mentioned that after going through the whole interview they told her they were expecting some funding from their HQ but she could join as a volunteer pending when funding issues are resolved. She lost interest saying the job is even in Ethiopia and she cant leave London to move to Ethiopia. I encouraged her to take the job. She insisted that her uncles and father's friends can get her better jobs in naija bla bla bla. Bottom line she took the job and worked for free for 7 months. When an opening came up she was advised to apply again and she got the job. She's currently a P2 employee within the UN system with lots of travel allowances and a tax-free income. 2 of her siblings who moved to naija with the confidence of having big uncles and friends are still jobless 4 years after uni. They have refused to take up lower paying jobs or gain any employable experience because they believe any job offering them below a certain threshold is not worth their time. For me a starting job/position does not define anyone.
On my part I'll also like to share how my uncle facilitated the employment of my sister into an upstream organization about 7 years ago. When I completed a computer science degree (bachelors + masters) I was asked to reach out to same uncle. In addition members of my family told me to forget about the whole tech thing and take advantage of having an uncle in a position to get a high paying job. I worked judiciously in the software engineering field from a tech company in lagos to a bank in lagos to a tech company in johannesburg to another tech company toronto. The same people that thought I did not know what I was doing are now calling me up and down to do one thing or the other for them. The big uncle they wanted me to serve 7 years ago is also on my neck to help coach his son for his interviews. All I can say is I'm grateful to God.
If that 50k job is in your field dont hesitate to take it and ride the uber on the side. Build from there and be rest assured you'll only look back a few years from now and smile

I Don pay bolt guy 10k for 1hr trip before. And we was even stopping and doing some shopping. That money wasn't included in his bolt shit cos he canceled the trip before we started.. You should be ashamed to be working 50k per month talk more of mentioning it on a platform go run your bolt man

I see many people telling you bolt all the way bolt this bolt that, my brother pls and pls never run your car on bolt every time everyday and never run your car all day, what they will fail to tell you is that those that make bolt their daily and all time work will always look for cash to repair their car when they need maintenance, a car that you drive daily will require more repair than a car that you drive ones or twice a week, the best advise i can give is never to quit your 50k work but you can run bolt for weekend, do this for like a year then you will know if you are to quit your work or quit bolt. And some people are saying that driving bolt will make you a free man bro, that is a fact lie if you are driving bolt and you did not meet up with driver scores and confirmation rate bro bolt will block you and might not open your account again.

Make the sacrifice to be doing Bolt job after closing your normal hours and weekend then try and see the profitability.

Don't quit your job carelessly.

Another option can be to get a good driver to be using the car for Bolt and then remit to you.

Keep your job and do bolt on the weekends.
You’ll get N50k sure banker and whatever you get from Friday , Saturday and Sunday. ( at least 8 days a month)

Or find a driver to remit 40% of fares.

Can you combine both for a while? I mean if you close from work, test run the idea and experience the reality first hand by driving passengers for two or three hours. If it pays off, quit the job and concentrate on bolt.
