And you believe that? Hight profile MDAs in Nigeria doesn't do their recruitment that way except in some cases. The interview thing is not just to ask you questions and hear you talk but to look at your appearance and study your mannerism and decide if you are a good fit to the organization and their culture. In most cases, the interview gives them the opportunity to physically verify your documents, how do you think they can do all of these things through zoom interview? Please dead that talk! Let's exercise patience and wait for further communication.

I believe the NERC interview is to screen your documents. Apart from the oral interview that there will be doing. I think we have to be patient, there will surely reply us

Some rumours are constructed by the initial spreader in order to deliberately catch fun out of people, some are designed out of the spreader's assumptions and some are generated by the spreader from a source to have been believed to be authentic. Any action carried out by NERC must have effect on some people on this platform and they would testify to the action Many of us know that government officials in Nigeria are not oriented towards working on time line, they rarely have management scheduled on task completion. When dealing with government officials in Nigeria, we have to be extra ordinary patient as we continuing with our normal daily routine. Now that the next stage is no longer with Testmi timeline/schedule, meeting with the the NERC hiring managers and management team for the next show, getting an exact timeline for the show/meeting depends on those people!

This is the point: I always try to filter information before putting it out there. I have been working with the government establishment for more than 7 years, and that's how it works. When you try to enlighten people, they will dismiss you as a fool. There is no way NERC will conduct an interview via Zoom.

The NDPHCN that does in-person interview even for their interns not to talk about permanent staff. My classmate works there too, and below is their internship recruitment as at May 2022.

'As part our Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, NDPHC is introducing a 12-month paid internship programme, which focuses on capacity building and skills development for young Nigerian Engineering graduates between the ages of 18 – 26 years.

Eligible candidates who meet the criteria will be invited for an online Aptitude Test. Candidates who pass the online test will thereafter be invited for an In-Person Oral Interview.'

I’m telling you what I know that happened not long ago when I asked my sis the possibility of zoom interview
If it's not their way, it's no way.

Nobody is saying they should not conduct interviews but Let them at least send rejection mails to those that didn't make it to the interview instead of raising unnecessary hope.

Nigeria my country.

It is well

This would have been a very nice thing! Unfortunately, public sector vacancies in Nigeria aren't yet doing that! It's a platform like the Nairaland that's helping applicants to understand if vacancies are still open or not. Smiles! When vacancies are advertised, there should be a note on aptitude tests, interviews and APL timelines stated. But many organizations in Nigeria especially public sector are not productive to that extent. I once said that, they mostly do things when they have time to do it! They don't used calenders to keep track of their tasks, they rarely have tasks scheduled plan. Testmi as a proud IT consulting firm for recruitment management purposes doesn't have a feature/just a click on their recruitment workflow platform to inform applicants that they are not moving forward on every stage of the process! May God help us in Nigeria!

The process is still on that's why you didn't hear anything, just ignore the rumour mongers and keep calm.

Getting too many reported comments here. Please if you want to comment and you don't have any form of evidence to back it up, don't bother to comment. If you are reported, I will issue you a ban.

Thanks.

A typical Nigerian is naturally greedy and self-centred just like the leaders we have in politics.
No fair judgement in their sense of thinking, more reason why the country can't get better.
Why would you even apply for another government job when you're already working for that same government.

I am glad a mod has taken up the challenge to clean the system. Leks4sure, a trusted source was very clear as to when we should expect to hear from them. Although, his position isn't cast in stone, the timestamp isn't even close yet, handles are asking for updates again. Updates from whom exactly? No staff from the NERC/TESTMI works here, to the best of my knowledge. So, why tempt people to come and drop half-truths?
Anyways, to each his own. I hope the mod that threatened to ban comments without evidence will also ban comments without basis.
Cheers to a lovely day ahead.
