Russia empire not Russia was defeated by Japanese Army in 1904. USSR not Russia retreated from Afghanistan. Russia empire and ussr were great powers but Russia is not.

No, you re slightly right and wrong.. It was The Crimean War (1854-56) was fought by an alliance of Britain, France, Turkey and Sardinia against Russia. It was the only major European conflict the Army engaged in between 1816 and 1914. SO to add the Japanese one into it.

It was during this period that Russia lost Crimean war. This is what brought about the end of Russian empire. The bolsheviks used Russia losing the war as pretext to remove the Provisional government just after the Monarchy in Moscow was already removed..

We can say the last time Russia truly lost a war was the Crimean WAR. Not really Japanese.. It was more of a stretch..

It is simple the strategy used when the invasion started was crushing Ukrainian military and it worked, no plan’s for nato involvement

But it is clear now nato is heavily involved so Russia will be pulling back, then get ready to fight a real war
