Ilorin is NIS is corrupt, bribe there and there.
Someone paid 80k another person paid 100k , yet they didn't get their passport within 1 months. I did mine 65k got it 1 and half month. NIS Ilorin is very corrupt including thier oga them. I think NIS is the most corrupt institution in Nigeria right now.

Somebody help, i requested for changing of dob and i went to abuja to do my capturing & all necessary things over 2 months ago, i tracked to check the status of my passport and here’s what i got �. Please what do i do?

I think their site has issues. Everything has been marked for me as well the last time I checked except passport issued stage but all has been unmarked.

Nothing to worry about... Mine was like that as well.
It will change to normal later.
Mine is almost 3 months... Hopefully this week it will be ready.

I just checked mine too now,it's the same thing.

Thanks, upon registering for a new appointment, i was able to get my old appointment slip. My capture date is 21st november, but my wife missed her captured appointment which was for the 3rd of nov. I hope she can follow me on my date, since she has the appoinment slip now.

Also my centre is Shagamu, is there anything to do ahead, i think i read about opening a file before you capture date.

Unfortunately, the portal does not have user access to retrieve appointment slip. I guess only the NIS staff will be able to confirm your capture date from their back end.

If today is your appointment and you are not in the capture centre, it will be best to quickly book a new appointment. Make sure to save the page as a screenshot or print directly from the webpage if there is no Print button.

I was in ilorin command center too last Friday... those guy's are very corrupt. .. they treat ur file as per who u kw...

Please have you been able to get your passport yet? Did mine at festac captured on August 22 and haven't gotten it yet

1. Register online
2. Book an appointment
3. Gather your documents and make sure they are all in proper order e.g Name arrangement on NIN and on birth certificate should be the same, NIN should be validated etc.
4. Go to the office on your appointment date with all your documents and go to servicom.
5. They will help with arrangement of your documents and reschedule your appointment date
6. Come back on the rescheduled date. Your file will be ready waiting for you so they will just call your name and the process begins.
7. After capturing you'll be given a white slip. Keep it because that's what you'll use for collection.

You can check back after 3 weeks if you live close to Sagamu or wait for 6 weeks if you live far so as to not stress or waste t-fare.

I captured on the 5th, passport was issued on the 13th and I picked up on August 2nd although the tracking portal was still showing passport pending issue (Just pointed this out to note that the portal isn't reliable)

I captured on August 30th at festac, I went there on October 22nd, the officer told me me mine still has a long way to go that it’s not even close to ready.. I just zeroed my mind on collecting it even this year. So stressful and annoying

I finally collected my passport (renewal) today at Festac. Got there around 12pm submitted my slip and started waiting. People who came hours after me were collecting theirs and leaving less than 30mins.

When it was 4pm I heard one of the officers saying they would soon close for today, nobody told me to quickly rush and meet one of the officers and wrote my name on a piece of paper. He went in and came out with my passport after 20mins, had to settle him with 2k if not I would still come the following day and be waiting like mumu. It’s as if they intentionally ignore you till you comply but finally God pass them.

The level of corruption at NIS is on another level. Smh

P.S if you are for renewal, on your day of collection go with your old passport or a picture of the data page, if not they won’t give you. Goodluck

You can say that again. I fought with those officers the day I went to capture for my children. They carry the thing for face self, Since their ogas are not left out. They even get VIP numbers. Files coming in from different angles. And special marks on them.

Do not go the DIY way if you need your passport in a month time.

Alausa takes 3months and in most cases + some days after capturing, forget about the 6 weeks on the printout.

Maybe I should advice my DIY fellow who needs their passport urgently to avoid osogbo office...... Those ones just pretend to be welcoming to DIY but will label your file with red marker (I guess it's their secret code of discrimination)
