Soludo on another one

https://www.nairaland.com/7433189/soludo-responds-obidients-peter-obi

Personally, I would have advised him not to respond because he has jus fueled the fire even more. Situations like these are inevitable, especially during election season. Soludo will do well to focus on governance so he doesn't get distracted and is pitched against his own people unconsciously. There is no rule that states he must support PO, however, he must understand that his position as Governor of a state is a very sensitive one.

For the records, I am a strong supporter of Chukwuma Soludo.

he dreams of these things, but unfortunately he can't live the dream, that's why he prefers living in his world of fantasy, and despise everyone living his dream..

He is a failure.. and he will continue dwelling on fantasies until the end of his days on earth

Even Rochas became governor through APGA.

Well, i have killed the dream of seeing the SE getting Presidency. May never happen in this lifetime.

I just want a better Nigeria for my life.

I think he needed to put this out.

After that interview on Channels, that guy has been dragged recklessly.

Pictures of his kids on the net....The bullying was horrible.

It's good he sets the record straight. At least, everyone knows where he stands. If Ndi Anambra don't want him, they should vote him out in the next election.

As a politician you control what you can control and this isn't one of them. This response isn't going to change anything, if anything, look for more divisive rhetoric from bad agents. As a Governor/ elected official, you are open to all kinds of mess but you have to be strategic/ measured in how you handle them and this is what Asiwaju is doing. You think Asiwaju doesn't see the insults or name callings?

There is a reason Soludo acknowledged many people advised him to ignore, those people know this isn't going to end well. Those who are acting in bad faith don't care about records being set, it has no place in minds of illogical thinkers if they are bent on pulling you through the gutters of mediocrity.

This response has only weaponized bad agents and this is not what Soludo needs at this time. Anambra State has more pressing issues than setting records straight with anyone out there. Also, considering how sensitive and volatile the situation is right now, he should have just given a simple answer to questions regarding Obi when he was interviewed.

He may have been in government but he is a rookie Governor and this will be a learning curve for him. I need him to focus on fixing Anambra, that is why he was elected. I am a very strong believer in Chukwuma Soludo.

Of course, Peter Obi will get some votes, and may probably win in Anambra state--- as “home boy”. But Anambra is not Nigeria. If he likes, I can even campaign for him but that won’t change much. From internal state by state polling available to me, he was on course to get 25% in 5 states as at August this year. The latest polling shows that it is down to four states, and declining. Not even in Lagos state (supposed headquarters of urban youths) where Labour Party could not find candidates to contest for House of Reps or Senate. The polls also show that he is taking votes away mostly from PDP. Indeed, if I were Asiwaju Tinubu, I would even give Peter Obi money as someone heading one of the departments of his campaign because Obi is making Tinubu’s pathway to victory much easier by indirectly pulling down PDP. It is what it is!

I really don't think it would divide anything

Soludo has made it clear that he's pro-igbo presidency. He has also made it clear that he will support APGA's candidate, which is Umeadi.

He has made it clear that he won't decamp and he wants APGA to be a regional party. He said he hopes Obi even comes back to build it again.

The man gave his own side of the story and his opinion, devoid of any agenda.

I expect silence from any agendaic agent. I doubt Obi would respond to this

If I am not mistaken, the original response was to supporters of PO (Obidients) and not PO. I don't think I read anywhere where he implied he has a problem with PO or his ambition, consequently this shouldn't have happened. It is the fact that he is expending way too much time and energy in engaging these guys on "setting records straight" is what I am bothered by. Uncle Chukwuma knows how to get a hold of PO and same goes for PO if needed.

Let Soludo keep facing Obi and distracting from the shoddy job he's presently doing in Anambra state. They will run him out of town in 2026.

This is a man that has not even started performing or doing anything tangible for his people. His first focus is tackling the man that made the party you contested under a viable one. Mind you he contested against and lost to this same Obi. And later had to port to APGA all the while shamelessly using Obi to campaign

Anyway I always tell SE people their lack of unity and internal jealousy especially among their leaders is why they are always getting the short end of the stick at the national level.

Its the fact and Facts don't care about your feelings..
The more states Obi can win in SE and SS the better for Tinubu and the harder it is for Atiku. APC is trying to use their structure, State governors and Buhari to counter Atiku in the North and prevent his clean sweep while the SS and SE that should have been a stroll for him Obi is chancing him there.
Those rally images for Obi from SS should be getting hi fives in Tinubu campaign office. If it translate to votes on election day then pop wine

That s the difference between people in touch with reality and those living in fantasy land

If Obi was not in the race, Atiku will be selecting cabinets by now cos Tinubu will have at least 11 to 6 states deficit in Southern Nigeria before going to the North which will mean Tinubu have to beat Atiku by at least 7 states in the North with a score of 13-6

This is my issue with his response to PO supporters. Considering the sensitivity of the situation, the timing was wrong and exposed his inexperience in Governance. I just need him to focus on his job because it is herculean for a state with huge IGR potentials.

Don't forget the infamous Gloria Okon. IBB was a major pusher before he became Head of State. There were even some rumours then that Buhari's plan to target him under his infamous Decree 20 was another reason (apart from the obvious ones) for IBB's approval of the 1985 coup
IBB and Abiola were 5 and 6. Only naive people see Abiola as some Patron saint, well he was a patron for coups if that's the patron we are talking about

Fela his fellow egba brother sang ITT (International thief thief) specially for him

Nobody sees IBB as some good guy but the fact that Abiola contested his annulled election doesn't mean he was no saint like most people been misled to believe.
