Ellexy: If Soludo demarketed Obi, who did he promote in the article then? The man is just saying what we don't want to hear or accept, when it comes to regional politics. Have you ever considered that Obi may lose? So what happens to the Igbo presidency after 2023? APC, Igbos no dey PDP, Igbos don comot. The man asked Obi to come back to APGA and build it as an Igbo bargaining chip. How can this be an agenda? If he had said Obi should support BAT or Atiku, i would understand the agenda, but he himself, said he's supporting a man that will lose; Umeadi Omo...I no know how to explain again sef 3 Likes |

DissTroy: Well I'm in complete agreement, I was once pushed to do something similar through my guys but realized the inanity of it.. I'm not saying one can't be known, I'm saying it's irrelevant, unless you are dayo, looking for people with "certain blood" to kill. My point is, one's standing in life is totally irrelevant and useless here, because all we do is TALK. it's just words. When we're done with our job's, we come here to entertain and inform or be informed. Online insults are useless. At first I wanted to indeed post further pictures of my parlor but decided against it because no matter what, something must be used to score a point and I'll end up revealing more than I should while getting riled up for nothing. I have nothing to prove. Whether I live under ikeja bridge or a batcher in okomako or an exquisite mansion in bourdillon, it makes absolutely no difference on this thread. Because it's just WORDS!!! |

https://www.nairaland.com/7433189/soludo-responds-obidients-peter-obi these are the pertinent quotes for me For full disclosure, let me state that Peter Obi and I are not just friends, we call ourselves “brothers”. But we have political differences: he left APGA for PDP after his tenure as Governor while I have remained in APGA since 2013. During the last two governorship elections in Anambra in 2017 and 2021, he led the PDP campaigns but APGA won landslide in both elections. By the way, in 2016, he visited and proposed that I defect to PDP and contest the 2017 election against the incumbent Willie Obiano, but I declined. After my victory in November 2021, he called to congratulate me as I did to him in 2010. That is the Anambra way: we fight fiercely during campaigns but share drinks at the next social events. After all, it was the great Zik of Africa who taught us that in politics, there are no permanent friends or permanent enemies but only permanent interests. We sat next to each other during the Emeka Anyaoku lecture at Nnamdi Azikiwe University on 8th March, 2022 and I made an offer for him to return to APGA and contest as its presidential candidate. Yes, I did. In my mind, it was time for Igbos to organize their region politically before stepping out to bargain power with other organized coalitions. On his part, he tried to convince me that he expected APC to unravel while PDP would be the “only one” standing. During our meeting, I reminded him of my proposal to him to come and contest under APGA. More importantly, I told him (possibly to his surprise) that I did not make the proposal in the belief that he will win in 2023 but that it would give us the opportunity to get our people organized as a bargaining force, with him leading the effort since I was busy as Governor Someone reminded me that a mob has no head and hence cannot reason. The same Peter Obi was one of those who told Ndigbo that APGA was the vehicle through which Igbos would organize to engage the rest of Nigeria politically. He was said to have sworn to Ojukwu and publicly that he would quit politics the day he leaves APGA. The rest is history. Today, I ask my people, Ndigbo: do we ask what Azikiwe or M.I. Okpara or Akanu Ibiam would do in the present circumstance? I worry that Ndigbo as Nigeria’s foremost itinerant tribe and with the greatest stake in the Nigerian project does not yet have a strategy to engage Nigeria—politically! Every four years, we resurface with emotive Nzogbu Nzogbu political dance (“it is our turn dance” but without organization or strategy) and fizzle out afterwards while others work 24/7 strategizing and organizing. 2 Likes |

Not seen any active northern politicians take jibes at atiku, same in the west to tinubu despite in different parties and their obvious baggages, they rather face/campaign for their party... For the first time in Nigeria, the youths notwithstanding their tribes, some called omo-ale and bastardds, who have been fed up about the situation in the country, who are victim of poor governance are standing up and coming together to choose THE LESSER OF THE EVILS but Igbo leaders and politicians from nnamani, ihedioha, nnamani, ekweremadu, ouk to others keep ruining it... But in future sha, when they come up with their regional party nonsense and wants to gaslight us with marginalisation nonsense and cry victims on never ruling,OGUN WEE KEE ALL OF THEM... If obi finally loses in 2023 like the Igbo politicians all want,he should just dead his hope and forget abt it...this momentum can never be built again, everyone woulda moved on either by japa and people care less about voting again 3 Likes |

izzou: You are falling into their trap!!! You are looking at this election from a regional point of view which is what every obidient is fighting against. Enough of the regional politics!!! Who e epp?? We want a president that will make the whole Nigeria work. Not just a particular region, but every single region of Nigeria. Tinubu used Lagos money to build the acn and made it a regional party, did this succeed in helping the common man I'm Yoruba land?? What is the difference between Oyo and abia or imo and ekiti? No be the same poor quality of life all of them dey suffer?? No be every body dey buy fuel every week? No be everybody dey suffer the bad roads all over Nigeria? No be everybody dey suffer the highest rate of inflation? Is it not kastina, buharis home town that is riddled with bandits, kidnappers and violent crime? I think we need to stop thinking about regional politics. It's useless. The poverty of the north will show you how useless it is. Northerners have held power for Soo long yet their region is the very worst in everything. Like every single thing. Every single area of governance, the north falls behind. Let's be wise. 2 Likes |

izzou:First of all Soludo don't need to endorse anybody, he just needs to attack someone and we've seen who he's been attacking. As for Apga, it's seen as an Igbo party and therefore doesn't have that national appeal, besides the only stronghold is Anambra and that's because of some loyalty to Ojukwu. Other states in the East don't give 2 fvcks about that party. Igbos no dey Apc yet Imo State, Ebonyi state are Apc states. The likes of OUK, Rochas, Amaechi etc are not Igbos too? In PDP you have Enugu and Abia states, Ihiedioha haa been following Atiku everywhere like Sanwolu has been following BAT and others as well. I see a clear agenda in Soludo's piece. You said the piece spoke to your soul. No need for further back and forth as we can't reach a compromise on this. 2 Likes |

Ellexy: Igbos are in PDP, and Atiku didn't consider the SE for VP, even though the SS just finished presidency? Igbos are in APC, and not even one came third in the primaries. Umahi didn't get 2% of BAT votes? Don't make me laugh abeg. Soludo knows APGA has no appeal, and he is asking Obi, that APGA be made to come back. Or you expect him to beg Ikedioha, Chiboy and the rest that have lived in PDP since 99? You just don't want to hear what he said. And that's okay. Sometimes, i dont want to hear something, not because it isnt true, but it does not sit well with my hopes and beliefs If you see another agenda in it, it has to be from an Igbo man, because Soludo specifically said he is supporting an Igbo man 5 Likes |

izzou: We're saying the same thing. Regional politics shouldn't be a thing. Good governance should be the utmost concern and priority for all Nigerians. When we talk about regional politics, we automatically reduce politics to a game, a game for the elites even as we've seen how terrible it has been for all of us.. Left to me, whether imo had a governor of another party, and Anambra had a governor of another party, as far as they are both good and conscientious leaders, we shouldn't have a problem. That's why the Obi supporters are drunk on idealism. They dare to dream that they can elevate this underdog to the apex of leadership. They are using Obi as medium to seize leadership. To say that they won't be taken foe granted anymore and these Obidients are from all parts, all regions, all denominations. All those things are secondary factors cast aside. All united by the burning desire to see a Nigeria that works. |
