I am sure she is not spending that money alone. That money will also reach the highest politician's hand whether he likes it or not. That is the problem of having a political jaganban or a god father in a state. Whether the god father likes it or not, I mean the god father does not need to ask directly, money meant for the state will get to his hand. Fear that they don't want to be removed, their interest in the future and fear of not wanting to be prosecuted will make them steal for the boss as they are stealing for themselves. On the other hand, if a godfather who is feared, is honourable, lovable, and he himself is God fearing and ready to remove or punish erring state leaders who use the state resources on personal vanities, the state people will enjoy such governance and will not care that the state power is under the influence of a single person. Unfortunately, that is not the case in any LGA, Lagos or Nigeria! Life is short, remember your creator at a time like this. Ensure to give your life to Christ. He is the only Way! Peace 3 Likes |

Shameless people. That’s what you get when councillors and LG chairmen are appointed as means of settling the lower part of the political leadership positions. What you experience is complete mediocrity, disgrace and wastage of resources during their tenures. All you hear from them is the construction of toilets, painting of walls, renovation of secretariats, sweeping of markets and different worthless jobs to siphon funds. The local governments are supposed to bring governance to communities with life changing projects. It is impossible to know your local government chairman, talk less of your councillor. They make themselves very difficult to access and seem to give a lot of powers to their SAs. An example is their supervisors on environments. Those ones appear like tin gods and carry themselves as the chairmen. No local government owns a single caterpillar. Even the ones who own, are not able to maintain them. With caterpillars, they can fix roads. They need to fix drainages to make movement easier for citizens. They need to put restive youths to work, employing them on daily payments to clear drainages and sweep the roads. We as citizens need to wake up and hold leaders accountable all the time. Until we are able to do so, our communities will remain underdeveloped. 5 Likes |

BABAawoo47: You”ll wonder what the LCDA were established to do. They get their allocations, yet you do not see any meaningful projects carried out. I have been to Ejigbo area and it is a complete disgrace. Ejigbo is a very disgusting area with very poor network of roads. The only good roads found there are those built by Ambode. LCDAs collect taxes in various forms and yet you do not see projects. 1 Like |
