Which part of North Korea look flashy compared to South Korea. You cannot hide wealth in data. It manifest itself.
are you asking me? Have you seen both capitals ?

Exactly... You can't hide behind empty apartment to claim make noise .... Your power consumption will expose you just like how north Korea look dark and the south is bright. Like the 5 fold difference between Ghana and Kenya power consumption. Accra alone consumes more than half of Kenya power consumption.

That's a 5 fold difference in standard of living ... It's the fact that you guys cannot afford to live in standard properties beyond those slum scrappers

Basically... Kenya is a true reflection of a zoo

Even junk like KFC cost a finger to get.. you can only wonder how many kidneys it will cost to get a boutique meal

Stupid arguments again. How many Kenyans eat KFC? The lame education system in Ghana is what led to 120% inflation. Stupid citizens = bad economy,IMF bailouts.

Yoruba people don't have sense at all, you have turn this thing to ipob matter, but let's talk facts, Nigeria is nowhere to be compared with other developing African countries.

Even Lagos the commercial capital of Nigeria is nothing but a glorified dump, and Don't come and tell me that bullshit that "why do igbos live in Lagos" because the answer to that ridiculous question is simple... Lagos is a commercial capital....igbos are business people...just like you see Chinese in Nigeria and other African countries, does that mean those countries are better that China? Hell No!! But Africa especially Nigeria is a commercial capital. Don't bother replying this comment because I won't read it or reply back.. Yoruba people don't have sense at all ...65years of poverty and your priority is the Igbo man....how dumm can this people be...no seriously it's a valid question...just how dumm

Nice view point from someone on the ground. you don't need rocket scientist to tell you that Nigeria is a zoo and Nigerian's are nutcase. Few are normal and sober... 'Check Suffering&Smillin for instance... Very sharp and truthful'

Why dont you look like South Africa? Why does your cities look like Nigeria? Like it just recovered from a nuclear war. Brown rusted roof with informal traders in every little space.
SA and Ghana have different way of living ... In what area of development do you come close to Ghana... In every area of development, Ghana only come second to SA.

Or have you forgotten your economy is largely informal and worse of all, those conditions are terrible than Ghana

You need to have a brain to fathom my logic. Average buffoons like you and obuffoon will without doubt struggle to decipher.

Life expectancy comes "hand in hand with" ( this part spaced you already.) "....With life expectancy." Go and read the methodology of measuring living standards then come and display your ignorance.

Check aspects like social capital: security and safety, social networks, community support.... Then go down to physical capital: food consumption, land ownership, and property ownership. Move to environmental & human capital then check how it interlinks with life expectancy.
The thrash is hyper-venting with more thrash.

Madman. The only thing you have in common is South African companies dominating your zoo. MTN, Shoprite etc. A free trade area. All your companies other than oil drilling are not existent! Ghana is a shithole drowning in inflation.

Ghana is South Africa colony. The gold is South African (Anglo American), the beer he drinks South African, the TV he watches South African, the bank he goes to South African, the phone call South African, the mobile payment south african, the airline he flies south african - the place he would love to visit the most south africa - and this not just like kenya where south african firms are struggling - they dominate in Ghana and most of west africa.

He equates the slum of Ghana to South Africa - they just live "differently"

Which super high price? Ghana's inflation rate has just hit 40% - you should worry about that. Kenya's inflation rate is playing around 8- 9%... Source~ central bank of Kenya.
The rate is on a downward trajectory. By early next year, we will be approaching 8%---
towards 7%.

That also explain why baring expatriate, majority of Kenyans can only afford to live in slum scrappers in Nairobi... It also explains why suburban living is only reserved for a few

why are you buying 5kg of rice at 10 dollars? Or paying 8 times for electricity than Ghana or buying cement for almost 9 dollars?

Those are far above what Ghana pays for anyone of that... That is where 2 years of hyperinflation had driven you to

Nairobi is a Dream to many Ghanaians -- yes, even your dwarf president who swims in billions of cedis. How about a normal low-class individual like you? A very tiny percentage of Nairobi is slums. Accra is a slum itself...

It depends with the quality of rice you're buying. 5kg of Sunrise basmati for instance costs ksh999, that is $8. Some are as cheap as 600 --- $5.

Re: Kenyans Are Far Behind Nigerians In Every Aspect – Fani-Kayode by Mkenya2019: 12:17pm On Nov 15, 2022
That was two weeks ago. Now it's 150%. What this mean is that everything - completely has tripled in price in a month - even the price of an egg.

Kenya inflation affected a few things - so when you average everything - it has small impact - food inflation for maize for example can go 100% but potatos can remain the same or even reduce - so few items rise but everything else remain constant - so overall inflation is weighed down to 9%.

For Ghana - those who remember 1993 in kenya knows it.Everything shot 3 times in a few days.

This not inflation you see in kenya where few selected items become expensive - this hyperinflation - gut wrenching increase of prices for everything.

Yet Kenyans are the one flooding Ghana for greener pastures because they see Accra as their New York and Ghana as their England for education.

86.6% of Kenyans are if we use the new world bank data on what it takes to be considered a middle class person which is based on a spending of 5.65 dollars a day.

To be above middle class, you have to have a spending of 10 dollars and at this rate, 95% of Kenyans are poor
.

You can check same for Ghana and you'll see why your economy hasn't transformed lives..

At those same rates Ghana has 50% of her population in middle class and at upper class, Ghana has 22% of her population.

It is bad for Kenya to only have 13% of her population in the middle class..

Consult the data here

Yes there normal seasonal inflation - for example during drought or before maize is harvested - or things affected by ukraine - like wheat, maize, petrol, gas - but other things remain constant or become cheaper - say Irish potatos - so when all this is summed and averaged overall inflation is okay.

Where Ghana is - everything has become expenisve because cedis has lost he battle.
