Peter Obi's response to Soludo today in Lagos Business School.

https://twitter.com/Spotlight_Abby/status/1592526216661434369?t=DsvVjpRs63Ns6stxz7ZKjw&s=19

Soludo just put himself on the spot unnecessarily. I've not had time to go through his posts fully but I've seen snippets of it on whatsapp statuses here and there, social media accounts etc.

First I would like to state that I've not been to Anambra either when Obi was a governor or now that Soludo is the governor, so I'm sure not in the best position to assess what Obi did then and what Soludo is doing differently now.

Why I said Soludo just successfully put himself on the spot is this;Obi might lose this election, he will lick his wound and move on to other things. Soludo on the other hand has about 3 and half years to govern the state, a period in which everything he does will be under total scrutiny by both Anambra indegenes and supporters of Obi. The smallest case of financial misapproriation under Soludo's administration ( even if it's done by a councillor sef will be weaponized against him). He's going to have the same poverty index revisited towards the end of his tenure ; he's going to have people mention the number of schools that still need rehabilitation, in fact the major issue of security will be brought to the fore and those of us that have no dog in the race will be interested in knowing how he's fared.

But then, it's actually amusing that nobody is petitioning EFCC, ICPC, Code of Conduct Tribunal and other similar agencies to investigate Obi's tenure for financial misappropriation; not even his successors have come out to level allegation of stealing public funds or inflating contract sum. I mean even Fashola the starboi was dragged by his successor for drilling 2 boreholes for N139m and building a website for N78m. Even Orji Uzor Kalu was jailed for the surgical operation he did to Abia's funds with the aid of his comapny SLOK.

Is it that Obi's successors can't pin such allegations on him? If they can, won't it be more rewarding for them to petition the relevant authorities instead of trying to play the tribal/regional card?

I have said here that in terms of character, Obi is most preferable, even though i don't trust a single soul in Nigerian politics.

But then, I am talking about the HOW. I would appreciate you read their manifesto again and look for the HOW. It is almost nonexistent

Its how i see it, my brother. 2023 is 2015 pro max
Well I see a chance in 2023 to correct a diré mistake that was made in 2015. We can't afford another 4 or 8yrs in the hands of Apc having seen their capacity and results the last 7yrs.

As for the how, the answer to that is subjective as not everyone is open to discussing the core secrets to their administration if elected.

But one thing is clear, if APC has the solution to Nigeria's problems, the results will show but they don't. Anything they're saying and promising now is like ponzi scheme. Renewed shege and hopelessness.

Bro no dey waste your time with this guy. He said emotional. Me that I've said everyone has a right to support whoever they want

I gave a simple analogy. If you're a boxer preparing for a fight do you hire a trainer that tells you you can't win. What incentive do you have to collaborate or trust him on anything moving forward.

Maybe he just wants to play Devil's advocate. But what is Obi's incentive to work with Soludo. A guy who he has beaten in the past and more significantly what is Soludo's use to the present APGA candidate? You have never used your platform even once to campaign for said guy and openly claiming he can't win while at the same time openly saying you courted Obi first.

Does this look like someone any sane politician should be doing business with? The man has barely completed 1 year as governor. If politics was the military he would be a Major trying to pull rank on a Colonel or Brigadier General. That's instant court martialing unless you're El Mustapha under Abacha

Lmao at this point I nor even send distractions like soludo grin

You can have it at 50, 60, 70, 80 and you can reach 100 without it. His problem is not his age as we can point to many people older who are not afflicted with such issues. The problem is the neurological condition he is suffering from. Talking mainly about his age is a bit too simplistic.

I insist, Uncle Chukwu exposed his inexperience in Governance with this Obi issue. I swear, I wish he had just left this alone or addressed it in a more mature manner because this has become a huge distraction. He has ended up pitching himself against a section of the same people he should be governing.

Going into the weekend and next week, I wish not to read anymore from him about this issue and Obidients. I need him on the ground working and trying to fix Anambra because this has been a dumpster.

They got nothing on him, end of story. He's dared anyone to bring up any corruption case against him and he’ll stop campaigning and step down. All they're doing now is trying to psyche up his supporters and followers on how Obi can't win bla bla bla...

For a structureless man to keep on being the subject of attack by the political elite says it all.

Wole Soyinka is still as articulate as ever in his 80's. Obasanjo is still as articulate.

Did you watch Bode George's recent interview who is also in his 80's? He's still in control of his mental faculties.

Tinubu has many mental deficiencies. Not a crime but he shouldn't drag the rest of the most populated black country on earth and the entire West African subregion which is under its influence into whatever issues he has going on with him.

Politicians have dealt with Nigerians to the point that an Obi in politics isn't even possible for some to comprehend even when he is legit our reality.

What is important to you might not be important to Soludo. He stated that he is responding to Obis supporters

Ideally, I should just have laughed off the infantile exuberances as many friends advised (I am used to this, having been in the ‘Arena’ for a while). I always re-read the quote “The Man in the Arena…” by President Theodore Roosevelt (1910) to remind myself of the burden of public office. Several well meaning Nigerians and Ndigbo called to advise that I should just ignore them. A respected Igbo elder-statesman who called, advised that I should just ignore what he described as “Peter Obi and his social media mob”. According to him, “everyone knows that he is going nowhere, but they are looking for who to blame”. After some 20 minutes of discussion, he advised that I should personally author a response— just for the records.

Everyone knows that I don’t follow the winds nor one to succumb to bullies, nor shy away from a good fight especially when weighty matters of principles and future of the people are involved
