Gurus in the house please help a sister....
I will like to start applying to schools but I don't know how to go about it. For Masters program do I email the school directly and applying directly as well and for college application,do I need to apply directly to the college as well or is there a general application portal for all Colleges that I can apply to multiple schl and pay one charges or do I need to apply to each college seperately?
Thanks

Hi Teefab, first thing is to determine is the course you want to study, then how much do have for tuition, this helps you narrow down your search, then what present educational qualification do you have? if you have 2:1 then search for masters, if you have lower grade then search for colleges, once you see a course you like then you have to check the school admission requirements. Most schools have their admission portal where you can apply however there is also a general consolidated admission portal like Ontario colleges portal which you can use to apply to colleges in Ontario, there is also Applyboard.

I don’t think there’s anything like calling for all docs from IRCC. He’s a sc*mmer. Ask for your IRCC log in to know what’s going on.. Don’t pay 1kobo to him.

Thank you for your response. If I get a new passport, will I send it to IRCC to restamp? Will they do that?

Vikky05:

I will try to answer to the best of my knowledge

1- yes try get a new passport here before travelling if you’re sure it will come out before your travel date because if you don’t stay in province that issue passport in canada, it might be stressful.

2- yes send your new LOA to IRCC. My admission was deferred to May from January and I had to send a copy to IRCC.

Thanks for the response, I actually had a 2:2 in my Undergrad studies with a cgpa of 3.29 and I already have a masters degree in Agricultural Economics but I just want to go for a second masters degree. So how feasible is it getting admission for masters prog. Also my budget is between 10,000CAD to 20,000CAD.

I like your answer but his question looks funny because he never submitted any physical document so how can he be told that they want to recall scanned documents and need money for that obviously the Agents is running him streets I just hope an applications was submitted

It is possible to go for a second masters, but you have to draft a strong SOP to explain why are going for another masters. It is also not impossible to get masters admission with 2:2 but is it hard so you have to apply to many schools. Since you have a budget, you have to now search for schools with that range. Do not forget to factor in your living expenses to your budget.

Abeg help guys, can't even remember the procedure again.
After applying, do you wait to get invitation to book for an appointment for biometrics or you just go ahead to book.

I received my stamped passport today...submitted on October 24th. My letter of introduction has been sent to my portal too. Just want to confirm that the next step is to book a flight and travel, and that there are no other things to do in the IRCC portal or submit (I don't want to be stranded at the airport smiley). Gurus, hope I am not missing any steps?

You wait for an appointment. It will be updated on your portal. You need to download the biometrics instruction letter from the IRCC portal and upload it on the VFS portal when booking for an appointment.

You book your appointment for biometrics after getting your letter or so I think

Can’t remember the procedure you say? For second time applicant, they do not need to do biometrics again, only first time applicant and the biometrics letter will be sent to your portal after application fee must have been received.

Good luck

Breaking News!!!

My application was refused this afternoon based on purpose of visit, insufficient funds and asset lol.

I'm going for a year course, tuition is 18,000 Cad out of which 10,000 Cad has been paid remaining 8,000 Cad.

I am self sponsor and going with 2 of my kids

Bank statement of almost 20M provided, pay stubs, employment letter, confirmation and promotion letters, my CAC documents registered 7 years ago, land documents valued at 30M etc.

I appreciate your well wishes and prayers.

I gave this application my best but sadly, it was not enough.

I am about to order for CBSA note to really understand their reasons for refusal.

Thank you all

I wish everyone still expecting PPR good news

Cheers
