You welcome.

And Etebo shaa. The less said shaa on those shaky moments but he too was decent in his passing and tried to be progressive with 2 pass entries into the Final third. Etebo has always been a confident ball holder but today he kinda looked a bit off his game. Aside that his passing was decent.

And it pains me to again admit that Ndidi is on some
kind of a decline unless he can arrest the situation. It hurts me because he remains, for now, our most highly rated midfielder in Europe on the back of his strong CDM performances over the years in the EPL for Leicester.

We have to establish his successor sooner rather than later in the SE. He is still a leader in the team and should not be excused so easily. I trust we still need his leadership but we need upgrades in his position and we have them already. We have to act true if we wanna see improvements in the middle.

And Hey, My Hi to your kid. wink

Thank you!!! That said, I don't believe we should have more than 6 midfielders at any point in time in a 23 man squad. 1) So Ndidi should be given a long rope.
2) Iwobi, no contest. 3) onyeka for me and he justified his inclusion tonight. 4) Aribo, for me, his versatility is an asset, the last 2 spots can be kept for Onyedika, Alhassan, Nwakali and Etebo. The 4 guys can fight for it, though it has to be said, Etebo's longevity in the team is an advantage to him.

I saw it.
That's why I opted for 4-4-2, and 4-5-1 during defensive play. Overload the midfield and end the game there.

Ndidi shouldn't have been taken off. He provides good cover for our CB's.
ndidi was ok but lacked support closing down the opposition’s midfield

The major culprit was aribo. He lacked agility and strength

Bro with all due respect this your comment is nothing but rubbish
rohr qualified with ease in a group that included Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia in his early years. This same rohr had to grind out results and dragged third round qualification to the last day against teams like cabo Verde, Liberia and central African republic. If not that you are mischievous you would clearly notice the massive decline in the quality of our football. It's shocking that after witnessing rohr's last days we will still be wishing he was not sacked whenever we lose a game. Omo you no try at all oo.

Alex Iwobi today:

2 chances created.
100% accurate long balls (7/7).
51/55 accurate passes.
93% passing accuracy.
10 pass entries into Final third.
4 recoveries.
1 tackle.
1 interception.

4-0 loss couldn't stop his shine.

Luku wasn't in the game. That said, Osayi didn't initiate plays like Bassey did, and somehow the few forays we had were through the left in the 1st half. But not a bad first for Osayi, he tackled hard, was unfortunate to cause a penalty but also won one.

For a moment, I forgot we had Lookman on the right. It was that bad.

He also didn't join the highpress as much as I expected.

And yeah, Osayi had a generally good game with some flaws in his positional plays but he did initiate one fine progressive play in the second half on the right flank from his defensive half to the offensive half. I commented on it even.

Leaving his arms that open in the box was careless shaa. Should be doing better.

Osayi is a fine addition but Aina remains the best well rounded fullback we have.

the teams attack came mostly from simon’s flank unlike that of lookman so there is nothing the atalanta man could do when he didn’t get much service. Also like you said osayi rarely built up play with him in order to attack from that flank. Same with our midfielders

Such pettiness cheesy cheesy

When confronted with irrefutable truth you dismiss and evade.

I am still waiting for you to tell me the LIES and please don't go back on to the Marko thing.

And oh l forget you claim I hate Nigerian origin players.
There are too many players of Nigerian origin in the UK. To quote you verbatim, "hater of Nigerian origin players"

You probably mean players birthed from the Nigerian football clubs and academies, l presume.

Let's start with Liverpool Awoniyi you probably had a convulsion when I told you I know him quite well. I hate him so much that I converse with him .

Ighalo, Onuacho, Etebo, Ndidi, Onyekuru, Dennis, V.Moses, Obagoal, Yobo, Mikel, etc I according to you HATE.

I absolutely have no HATE for any player irrespective of birth place and that includes, Chukwueze, V.O. Nwakali. For goodness most I don't know and probably never will, it's ludicrous to be getting all emotional about people you don't know.

The only players l have been unapologetically vociferously dismissive of is Isaac Success ,I coined Wasteman I have no time for bad behaviour.

And when I get into a discourse it's about player attribute and criticism not with the player but with highly misinformed individuals like you.

You lack knowledge and what you dont understand you class as HATE .

So because of that small decline u sacked him grin Omo na WA oo...let him loss the ticket b4 u sack him na ...those decline are not football reason to sack a coach... towards the later end of WC group stage qualifiers, all teams intensified preparations and were reqdy for any top team...that did not stop us....oga u ppl should leave him to play Ghana and see whether Ghana will score a goal here in the playoffs

For so many who have said that Nigerian origin players have no sense of identity and or affinity with Nigeria. They are not patriotic, etc.

It's time to move away from non technical players in the SE, players like Ndidi, Moses Simon, Uzoho, Ekong that can't keep the ball for 2 seconds cause more damage to the SE, if we want to move forward we can find ball playing CB's and midfielders that can help us keep the ball even if we don't want to attack, football has moved on from kick and chase

We played some of our best football under gernot when we utilised fast and skillful inverted wingers. I've never seen a Nigeria attacking trindent as dangerous like the K.O.C version I saw against Ukraine and sierra Leone. Our decline under rohr coincided with the period when he started playing a two man midfield. Playing Lookman(a right footer) from the right wing takes out something from our attack. I will maintain that we need to revert back to using inverted wingers and ditch the experiment of playing a two man attack or playing a traditional winger. We should improve our midfield plays. We have some of the hottest strikers in Europe. We're doing our self a disservice if we continue to ignore our midfield problems. Play a balanced blend of midfielders behind our inverted wingers and powerful strikers and we could be up to something special
