Mujtahida:All Nigerian Sport team, male and female. All the tournaments played by the female reps this year proves this deficiency. The male teams, especially at club competition, also proved this fact. I guess Apc has shown us too much shege that we can't even focus on this abysmal dismal katastrofi. |

andrewbaba44: You probably forgot to mention the Technical Director been in position for about year. My good friend and most honest, humble and straightforward Football ⚽ Manager I have ever come across , Chris Houghton. Add to that he has a wealth of experience under his cap. I think Ghana have a solid and well balanced team in all departments. Underestimate them to your peril as we have painfully learned. |

andrewbaba44:the only way they can prove it is by winning or drawing. A loss Is a loss. I don't want to hear something like they played well, it was the goalkeeper fault. |

andrewbaba44:the difference during the qualifiers was simply the coach. If not that rohr decided to be unfortunate towards his last days ni, that Ghana match would have been a sure win for us. They are not really better than us imo. We just decided to be useless during those matches. Well it's gone and we look forward to whatever the future has for us. 1 Like 1 Share |

minfelix: After five years, we did not grow an inch under Rohr. We did not build a solid team. We were never a convincing side. If that is how you want us to play for the next 20 - 30 years, you are free to enjoy that. Even under Keshi where I was still critical, we could meet France and give them a game. France resorted to injuring Ambrose and Onazi to have an edge. We played the Catalonia team and matched them. We lost to Spain but we gave them a match. We played Italy and left them by two goals in the first half. They had to bring in Pirlo to reclaim the midfield. We ripped Mali by 4 goals at the AFCON. It was not all good but were were a good side. All of a sudden, you guys want us to park bus and grind football. I wonder why I even bother. People want us to play Rohr way. |

TheGoodJoe: Why didn't they go and defend the trophy the following Afcon??....bros any sweet moment of creative and tiki-taka football u enjoyed aside is a flash in the pan performance for super eagle's...only the golden generation boast of that performance for back to back to back to back years...Keshi was a good coach, at least he was sacked for failing to qualify us, why can't u do the same for rohr.... |

Odunayaw: You're somehow right about Bassey, considering the fact he's very prone to committing silly errors on the 18yard box. But overall, he put on a good performance, hold up play, agility and most of our attempts went through his wings. I can't say much about Chukwueze cos he's a ON/OFF player. Coaches majorly start with their best 11 on the first half, my ratings is based on that. |

Joebie: Why are they all hyping Bright osay. Even in his personal mind he would have realized how badly he flopped. He was allowing that young black Portuguese left back have a field day driving foward at him. Aaah. So confused was he they took his wing for a ride in the first half hence the pressure that led to the cross hitting his other hand. He was stretched and well stretched till the second half. He knows in his mind he definitely was poor. |

TheGoodJoe: Anytime he wins convincingly by playing creative attacking football they will say it's individual brilliance from talented players.... I don't see any negatives in the man...he coached us 5years and he earned some respectable feats for us...he is a type of coach that will surely drag your team to a medal and put your name on history book of tournaments..he can't come back again, but he wasn't a bad coach |

The Eguavoen led technical Dept. has a lot of questions to answer....but they can't give what they don't have. Peseiro from indications likes to set up his team primarily for counters. Funnily, the team's shape and sync isn't up to the level to implement quick transitions when there is a chance to catch the opposition on the break. 1 Like |

caprikon: Eguavon lead technical department? Lol...how are we even sure that the department works in hand with the coaching crew.. Let's not forget that Pinnick went out on his own to consult outsiders (reportedly Mourinho) before he appointed Peseiro... He didn't consult the technical department which would have been the protocol... It was also reported that Rohr was recommended to him by Wenger... Technical department looks more or less a paper department... |

minfelix: All these things some of you are praising Rohr for, making him look like some sort of genius were accomplished by many previous coaches before him... Keshi and Amodu achieved all that...they were still sacked.. Berti Vogts had a good CV before he was appointed our coach, but after the shambolic display at the AFCON,he was fired... What's so special about Rohr? If he is that good, why is he yet to get another coaching job? |

Frank "The Tank" Onyeka vs Portugal yesterday: 45mins played. 32 touches. 25/28 accurate passes. 2 pass entries into Final third. 1 interception. 2 recoveries. 2 fouls committed. 0/3 ground duels won (only minus which is even unusual because he excels naturally in duels. He is "the Tank" for good reasons). Onyeka registered more pass entries into the final third than Ndidi and Aribo combined in the game. *Ndidi played 45 mins. Aribo played 69mins. I have my criticism of Onyeka's game observed overtime and it still stands but truth be told he did better than Ndidi and Aribo yesterday and it won't be the first time too that he trumps both in terms of SE Performances. Onyeka's limited ball playing is still an issue in the long run but I will rather have him in my Midfield for his box-to-box plays and vertical driving traits than a Joe Aribo whose role just has to be redefined in our Super Eagles. Aribo is no bonafide midfielder. We have to move forward with the truth And mind you, this ball playing deficiency is not just a midfield problem. It is also a defence problem. Ekong on the ball too is quite under average. Akpoguma is not convincing. We need good ball playing CBs who also excel in the dirty aspects (or some) of the role. CBs who are also quite mobile. We looked too rigid at the center in defensive transtions. TheSuperNerd: 2 Likes 1 Share |

Meanwhile... My Morocco won yesterday but what is there to celebrate when they faced a Georgian team without Kvaratskhelia. Kvaradona for do them strong thing even though Morocco would still win. Anyway, Cameroun is currently playing 1-1 with Panama after 74mins. 1 Like |

Don't mind them. They don't understand that the bolded here is the point. WE DIDN'T GROW. WE RATHER REGRESSED. What we are after is growth. Positive evolution of the team. And it can come only under the right tactical head/mind. Not under some Wyscout-swinging/Portuguese-speaking worse version of Rohr. TheGoodJoe: 3 Likes 1 Share |

Osayi-Samuel kept up with Nuno Mendes bar for bar, pace for pace, power for power, flow for flow. Even when Portugal switched Nuno for Vitinha and also brought in Raphael Guerreiro, Osayi kept up as well. That Bright is too bright. I used fine addition last night... please pardon my mild language. To be honest, he is a fantastic addition to the team and would surely give Aina tough competition in that role although I still rate Aina higher for now. But I am glad Bright has proven our scouting/tactical brief report on him in this thread, long before his invite, RIGHT!!! 4 Likes 2 Shares |
