SmartyPants: Let them leave! Did any of them steal your money? Should you not be happy they are fleeing so that the jobs they left would be made available to those who need them? Are they the cause of ASUU strikes that hinder the graduation of more nurses and doctors? I thought you lots say Nigeria is over 200 million, thus, everyone cannot leave (which is true anyway)? Why are you sad people are using their money to relocate from Nigeria? Is it your relocation? Is it not the best opportunity for you to BUY ALL THE LANDS AVAILABLE? GET ALL THE JOBS AVAILABLE? You should be glad people are leaving. 4 Likes |

He no start GTB so make he maintain. Every one in Lagos know the Agbaje family. Let him and his family start the bank now how they started way back. Under APC corruption has gone from fantastically corrupt to super corrupt. 9mobile, Keystone bank, Polaris Bank etc it is corruption that took over them. 1 Like |

Just find your level. Not everyone will make it either in Nigeria or abroad. There have been countless number of 'japa' who returned with nothing. And there are citizens who made it here without been in government. It's all about grace, opportunities and contact. Move with the right person and position yourself for the right move. No be everybody go get money. Quit being God. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Again even these so called established countries pple migrate from there to other countries... Footballers earn mega pay in Europe yet not all footballers from Nigeria ll have the opportunity to play in Europe... Afelokhai a goalkeeper has a mini estate Today in Nigeria and all his career he played in Nigeria... What ever makes anyone happy do but pple should weigh the consequences to every actions... Lastly your next president is either tinubu or Atiku so get used to that or continue sleeping in the fantasy of Obi presidency... 2 Likes |

Pierocash: Really? its so funny to me when I read the comment of some naija on here. U want us to stay behind in a country that only people that know somebody survives lol. the mistake most of guys dont understand is, in western world u have to sacrifice some time to get urself together and afterward u will be happy that u leave naija. Im IT system administrator here now but when i came here in western world i seek asylum, at that time we are not allowed to work under asylum proceedings but we are paid 280k naira for doing nuttin by staying at home then i decided to continue my study now as IT I earned roughly 3.7 million naira monthly after tax. To una logic I should stay behind in naija and eating what? cos im from very poor family and none of my family is into politics. what a load of crap coming from Agbaje! My advice to most naija is if u have opportunity to japa better do ooo, u only need few years to get ur paper in order in abroad but not just any over hyped country like UK, US and Co. im talking about country like Holland, sweden, Denmark, norway, switzerland luxembourg, finland, Iceland and so on but b4 u get ur stay sorted 3 square meal is guranteed, latest iphone or any latest high end phone too cos theres opportunity to pay in installment here. just try to learn work or study here cos the opportunities are endless!!!!!!!!!! 5 Likes |

Gerrard59: The bolded is very true about Nigeria The country will never be developed and the more she will loose her productive citizens to Western countries who are now seeing the value these productive citizens are adding to there economy. Canada started it and it's been a huge success. Now UK, Australia and many developed Western countries are keying in taking the most productive of our country. Canada even increased the quota for immigration for the next five years. 1 Like |

Pierocash:In the UK her children are entitled to free medical care, free primary and secondary education and she earns a lot better than what she was earning here. In additional to that the future of her children are secured , no security concerns and basic are amenities are duly provided. If Agbaje's father didn't take similar risk to relocate abroad would Agbaje himself had the opportunity to school abraod that shaped his future to become the man he is today ? |

SmartyPants: Story Why is the US the most successful country in the world? They know the importance and value of the right immigration. Many Western countries are copying them from Canada to UK, Australia etc More productive citizens of poor African countries will be attracted to these Western countries. |

Pierocash: Oga, that bank executive is looking at something bigger than money: the future. Something you know next to nothing about. In 5 years, that man will become a permanent resident of that country. In 10 years, he can apply for citizenship of that country. Yes, a first world country. That is the greatest inheritance a Nigerian can give to his children. Use your head. It's not hard 1 Like |

How the hypocrisy of Nigerian elites stinks to high heavens. Can you imagine the advice, do you know how difficult it is to get anything on merit in Naija, a good paying job without having one strong connect or without God miraculously helping you out, if I knew what I know now, I would have left a gazillion years ago. Anyone that has the means pls by all means leave. Is it health care? Is it the lack of justice for the poor? Don't be deceived, this con3 get as e be, let them that are the principalities and powers of this country remain here. 1 Like |

Pierocash: Good question, bro. But one of my explanations for that would be that, unlike Nigeria, legit Japa provides a much more global ascension and fair playing ground. First, my premise is based on the fact that maybe most successful Lawyers weren't meant to be Lawyers in the first place but chose the profession as it was hot cake back then so as not to be unsuccessful in Nigeria, the same way people are choosing tech now because of USD earning or petroleum those periods to eat out of the national cake/resource. And that's why so many zoologists are Lawyers today in Nigeria, so many magicians are fake herbalists/pastors/imams, so many weapon-skilled men are doctors, and so many doctors are serial killers. Why? Everybody wants to make money. However, Japa allows you to be a magician, a hunter, a zoologist, or even a cleaner as the OP said, and still be fulfilled and successful. And you may never know this truth most times until you Japa even if you were successful over here in a popular profession. Who knew Samklef would excel better as a blogger than a music producer? Or does Pepenazi excels as a Pastor than as a Musician? And I am sure they feel fulfilled doing this together with making money . Imagine the wealthiest Lawyer in Nigeria, who never really practiced law in itself. Same with many Nigerian Professions- the richest Doctor, the richest Teacher, etc. That shows you something(Nothing is given to you here by merit until you use the guns, you Gerrit?). That also shows you how much you have to get dirty, be involved in dirty politics, and do many underground shady things to get to the peak of success at the end of the day, I ask: "is that success really?" See Festus Keyamo now for instance... If Festus had Japa as a successful activist, he probably may have saved thousands of lives through activism and ascended in so many ways he can never imagine. Now he has been reduced to... And the irony is if things go wrong for the Agbaje guy now, and God forbid(it only takes one nonsense policy/health/village people), he loses all his money and has to start again... Japa offers him more chances of recuperating faster than Nigeria. In fact, Nigeria makes things worse. Ask the Ibrus and others who got Lamido Sanusi's rod. But over there, you hear of billionaires losing it all and recuperating as fast as possible. And they obviously don't lose it all just because of a policy or a Government change...In fact, they lose it all and still live largely(maybe on credit ). Do you know how many artists in Nigeria got popular but are now irrelevant and broke? I kid you not, it's not easy for that to happen there with royalties and other benefits with the kind of popularity some of them attained. |

If you have money in Nigeria no need to relocate because with your money you can do anything in Nigeria and get away with it, that's why they can advise you yet there kids are all outside enjoying a sane clime , been a Nigerian is really the most difficult Job in the . Go out you are not even sure of coming back, beside they enjoyed the best education system during there years but look at the educational sector now you will cry, should we talk about the exploitive system of work here in Nigeria, if you are fortunate to leave this country you won't want to come back again |

People like this Agbaje of a man clearly prove that the devil is really in charge of this country Nigeria. See him talking as if he cares about whatever fate befalls those leaving the country. The man is only worried that many of his slaves- abi workers, are now resigning in droves and traveling abroad. Nigeria is nosediving at a steady rate. Anybody who has the means should leave please. When the political class are serious about building the country, they'll restructure it and devolve power to the regions so that people would no longer depend on the federal government to develop their regions and thrive economically. 2 Likes |

bobman22: This Agbaje dude using that old laziness/hardwork paradigm to guilt-trip regular people into staying in a dysfunctional society, am sure he goes everywhere with two Hiluxes filled with policemen, to protect himself from thr lawlessness & chaos, and lives in a gated estate where security codes are changed every few hours & non-residents cannot enter without invitation. I'm sure he flies abroad for medical treatment and all his kids school/live abroad too. Nigeria's thieving, greedy elite are just so fûcking disingenuous 3 Likes |
