Okay it is good you sent back the form asap, and yes things like this are not strange for cases they need to investigate an information or scrutinize if they notice anything after your visa is approved. So don’t panic, it will end in praise.

Indeed you can’t rely 100% on verbal approval after the interview at the embassy because there’s a process it still have to go through before it is issued and even if it says ISSUED on ceac it is still not 100% until you have the stamped visa on your passport and in your hand, hence why they always say do not quit your job or buy a plane ticket until you have your visa in your hand.

A lot can still happen after interview, there’s is this case in Montreal consulate where an applicant was approved at interview, and the CEAC status even changed to Issued. Then it suddenly changed to Refused and they were sent DS-5535.

Turns out when the status changed to issued MTL had even stamped the applicant's passport with the visa, and then put another stamp on it revoking it. Took a few months for DS-5535 to process after that, and eventually they got their visa issued.

So don’t panic there’s always solution for anything that comes up after interview. You’re supposed to get email or response from the embassy if there’s anything you have to do and if not you should contact the embassy and explain what the Ceac is showing I guess they should advise you on what to do and if it is an error on their part they will still tell you.

NVC takes a lot of time to respond to email and also don’t take calls, at this time you can’t do anything than just wait.
Some people are lucky to hear from NVC in less than 60 days while some is more and the reason you have not heard from them is because the embassy has not requested your case for final processing they’re still working on cases they have at hand.

But you should hear from nvc between this month and next month since its been 43days.
Try to keep encouraging OP to stay positive and to keep checking his/her email and not to worry coz at the end it will worth it and all these wait will be a thing of the past, immigration is not cheap as Airboy will say. Good luck!!

Check again today, a case status showed Approved yesterday and last updated 17/11/2022.
Interview was last week Thursday.

I got issued on Wednesday 16/11
And ready for pick up today 18/11
Also received the embassy email

Hello again! We have received to emails to pick up his passport (we are still in AP) but when we go to pick it up it is still not there...do they have a history of losing passports??

Yes, I apologize. We have been placed in administrative processing and filled out form 5535. They have directed us to pick up the passport at DHL, they have sent two emails saying it has been picked up from the embassy. But when we try to pick the passport up from DHL it is not there...

That's very weird. I don't think one shld experience this kind of thing with an institution as organized as the US embassy

Does your status on the portal says issued now?
If so then you are picking up passport with visa in it.

You don’t need any invoice number
Go ahead and pay the MRV fee and create cgi account then join the queue of people waiting for interview dates to be opened. If you don’t do this now and keep waiting for invoice number dates can be released anytime and get filled up within a short time and you will have to wait for more months to get a date.
And yes you can go ahead and fill your ds160.

You still have few months to go
For the past six months 80% of cases adjudicated by USCIS takes 15 months and the rest could take longer. It could be frustrating but use this as a reference for waiting time for NOA2.

I know this topic has been discussed numerous times, but I honestly didn't see any of them particularly address a situation where one is already working remotely with a US company, and they have to move to the US on a K1 visa.

In my case, I work as a Software Engineer for a tech startup based in Ohio. Been working with them for 18 months now.

Since I am not legally allowed to work in the US until I get the EAD Card, my questions are:

1. Should my fiancé list my job in the employment history on the form I-129F?
2. Do I have to quit my job before I move to the US given visa is approved?
3. Should I let my employer know I am moving to the US?

Well i don't see any wrong with you working remotely with an American company. Please don't quit your job. They are not majorly concern about the beneficiary work rather the practitioner. She is the one filing for you and that take off all your concern. Those already in usa can answer your question deeply sha.

if u know u want to continue working with d company get married and file for IR1/cr1. But if u wish to continue wit d k1 once ur petition get to NVC stop working wit d company so wen filing out ur ds-160 it will show u have ended d work,b4 u do so info d company that the visa u r using to come to US will not permit u to work in US.
U can tell the company to help u wit employment later so when u r sending out ur EAD form u can include it and ur EAD may come faster ..
1.yes include it
2.at NVC stage end it
3.yes info d company that you will stop working wen ur case get to NVC…. At least make money Dey enter 4 space of 15 months approved of ur I-129f
