he has been in the system but he don't know the actual salary for HND that is it been in the system doesn't grantee you knw salary of all Cader hope you knw that. There difference is one grade and that will not make difference of 60% in a pay yes their will be a difference. the current HND guys are doing training how can you compare training allowance for HND and salary of BSc graduate and make a conclusion, if they finish their training and you have privacy of known their salary then you can conclude your 60% or 46% difference but nw he only knw BSC graduate salary he doesn't knw HND own

The guy was in the system when the 2017 set of HND guys resumed as staffs...

So yes, he knew what BSc guys got and what HND guys got as salaries...

And if he says the difference is 40% take it as it is...

Cos i am pretty sure that you are not yet in the system...at most a trainee or an Intern....

Well, as exquisite and relatable as your facts are, we actually get to know NLNG's mind regarding the age factor when the test mails are sent to individual recipients. I'm getting mine by God's grace

Amen bro

Hello All,
It's really great being on this platform and learning a lot from intelligent minds.

I would just like to share if it helps anybody that completing your personal profile on that registration portal and getting a download of the completed form does not equate applying for the job.

You have to log in again, click on the job search button, search for Graduate Trainee, click on apply button and follow the prompts to successfully apply.

I made this mistake earlier, perhaps it's just me.

I want to believe that if you received a receipt which indicate that your application has been submitted, then, you are good to go.

Correct. There is no such disparity in salaries. Tech/Ops and Graduate Trainees join the company at different salary levels. They are paid the equivalent salary level for which they are employed. And they are all considered as direct staff of the company.

However, I think I get where @airsaylongcome is coming from. No pun intended

Considering the fact that the FG has announced that HND = BSc, the fact that they both enter at different levels is enough to prove disparity in salaries...

If there is no actual disparity, then why don't they enter in at the same level

I miss his bants... I'm sure others would be interested in him sharing his experience getting his IT role and his experience interning there. @MrLloyd, if you are reading this, your experience would be one I'm sure these prospects would like to read. Forget about the "strong arming" I did. You kept questioning the legitimacy of my claims and I had to "invoke the gods" so you know I wasn't capping. You are always welcome here. You can even ignore me completely. But I swear your experience would enrich this thread

If a war of attrition goes on long enough one party gets worn out. I guess that's what happened grin

The man might be in one NLNG thread for I.T students after your "strong arming"

But it's all good. I would like to see MrLloyd back commenting too.

Some of us argue offpoint sorry to say...

The issue on hand is whether or not there is disparity, and not whether or not one would take the offer....

Actually, the discussion of disparity or no disparity in Tech/Ops or Graduate Trainees is off-point and a big distraction.

Conversations should center around the recruitment, adequate preparation for the SHL tests, and the subsequent stage(s) .

You do not want to bother yourself with things you have no control of.

Success all.

If you don't know the topic of discussion then stick to what you know...

Someone raised the issue of disparity and that's what we are talking about...

If you want to talk about the recruitment no one stopped you...

Just don't respond off point to issues

Just to emphasize, there are NO PAST QUESTIONS! NONE! Past questions suggest that previous candidates were allowed to go home with copies of the questions they answered. Which did not happen even in 2007 when it was a paper-based test. The best you can get are practice material which are a close approximation of the questions you'd meet. Anyone peddling "past questions" is telling a blatant lie. They do not exist. Leverage the practice materials you can get. The most important thing is to use them for what they are: PRACTICE. They will help you sharpen your ability to answer the questions, but they will not be the exact questions you'd get on exam day. Think of them as "sparring partners". Boxers get sparring partners that closely reflect the fighting style of the opponent. So they have the sparring partner to learn how to confront the real opponent. NLNG job is a life changing opportunity. I wish you all the very best as you prepare. And may the best of you rise to the occasion. Good luck and godspeed

I think at this point you should focus on scaling through the recruitment and get to offer. That should be the main goal here. If you attended the virtual career fair that was the same theme. It appears you don't know the level of competition for this recruitment. Unless you work for a multinational international oil company (IOC) that is in the top percentile of earnings, just know that this is a venture worth pursuing
